Apr 10th 2010 12:55PM The "press a button, wait idly X seconds for pay-off" cast bar mechanic is, in my opinion, one of the worst traits of MMORPG's. It always feels cheap, uncreative, and dissatisfying that conjuring a fireball produces a download bar. If I can get up and get a snack while forging a mighty sword, there is something wrong with the game mechanic.
Keeping in mind Blizzard's desire to make a rich and involving game world, do you think we'll ever see a modification of this tired core mechanic? A series of timed button pushes to match intervals in the cast bar (coinciding with varied character animations?), or some simple mini-game associated with crafting so as to make making bandages or copper wire slightly less...downloady?
Aug 22nd 2009 3:45PM actually, it is likely that the alliance was in this case attacking the horde, as the single horde ship will probably have had Thrall on it (probably trying to broker emergency diplomacy that Varian will spit upon). The goblins then accidentally rescue Thrall from the alliance and, voila! A new horde race.
Apr 10th 2009 1:04AM I would show it to my school pals.
Apr 9th 2009 12:08PM I'd show it to my cat.
Apr 8th 2009 6:27PM I'd show it to the world. THE WORLD!
Apr 7th 2009 9:34AM I'd show my brother. He has a lite.
Apr 6th 2009 7:09PM My girlfriend. She loves sexy handhelds.
