Children's Week Dalaran orphan quest broken [Updated] {WoW}

May 7th 2010 2:30AM It's pretty lame if you ask me. Regardless of if it is difficult to fix.

Ever since they started selling in game pets/mounts there is an implicit transactional quality to pets.

So we paying customers who are actually around to collect this years second Dalaran pet are not going to be able to obtain it.

I think it would be appropriate for Blizz to send us one of the store pets as compensation.

I jest of course and don't hugely care, but none the less for a once a year collection they are thumbing their nose at dedicated pet collectors.

The Daily Quest: Children's Week {WoW}

May 4th 2010 8:16AM My thoughts as well.

It simply isn't fun, which I think breaks a tennant of Blizzards??

From my perspective, this is either a very badly designed Achieve, or Blizzard intends for it to irritate and put players off BG's... You just need to look at the comments people are making about this one along with the guides to subvert the play mechanic of these mini games.

Breakfast Topic: I threw that away, d'oh {WoW}

Mar 31st 2010 5:16PM I'm on the horde side so never had the chance to throw the hat away - same goes for the rod of transformation...

But back in Vanilla WoW there were very few armor rings (3 I think) all from quests, and being a druid I could make good use of those rings (rules have been changed since).

Unfortunately I got one of the rings before realising their value and vendored it... The other two armor rings were at the end of long quest chains that needed multiple people so weren't easy to come by - 1 was from a town sized battle in East Plaguelands, the other from saving the princess at the end of brd... I only managed to get organised to get 1 of them at the time (the plaguelands one ironically)

Breakfast Topic: Game over man! Game over! {WoW}

Mar 29th 2010 7:46PM How about this for a scary thought.

Imagine if WoW didn't end...

Now think for just a second, it is still going 20 - 30 years later... And you are still playing it?!

This isn't a post against WoW, Blizzard are doing a good job of keeping it fresh imo. But that can't last forever, and my personal hope is to find other rewarding hobbies to fill my time in the years to come.

In the meantime though I'm enjoying the experience this game has to offer and trying to clear my to do list before Cata hits (game over for classic WoW from the sounds of things??).

Insider Trader: Building the better bank alt {WoW}

Jan 23rd 2010 11:33PM Since I operate out of bag/mail space and auction. TB isn't so great at ~ 9s foot distance between the AH and mail.

I like Silvermoon - The Bazaar, it is next to no foot traffic, and ~ 3s foot distance between AH and mail... Good for getting items from the AH into the hands of your main very quick, and vice versa.

Shifting Perspectives: The day has come, part 2 {WoW}

Jun 3rd 2009 5:08AM I like the new cat forms except for one thing...
They all have pigtails... Ugh!

I like the new bears too, apart from the acorn necklaces...

It reminds me of the two things I don't like about swift flight form, the necklace and the pigtails.

Time is Money: Using the unmodified Auction House {WoW}

Apr 7th 2009 8:07PM I have avoided selling greens, have other people found this a worth-while type of item to list?

WoW subscriber numbers still increasing, multi-boxers trivial {WoW}

Apr 6th 2009 9:01PM I get so much entertainment from the people claiming that WoW is on it's last leg because it is:
Too easy, Too hard, Too PvE, Too PvP, not enough this, not enough that, the next patch will be the last gasp, the new mmo is going to steal all the wow gamers (aoc, lotro, war, dado...), etc, etc...

You guys are great! seriously, keep it up :-)
