Jan 10th 2012 11:09AM I re-visited Kara a year or so ago for nostalgia's sake, and I distinctly remember walking into the chess room and going "oh." :D
I managed to solo it though, just took the King and do your abilities as much as possible, you can't move unless your side's AI is remarkably clever, but just hit whatever gets in range
Nov 1st 2011 12:50PM Still no "The Instance"? Those guys piss you off or something?
Jul 21st 2011 11:17AM In my opinion, an exceptional raider is someone who thinks outside the box during a boss mechanic to ensure the boss is downed. I'm not exceptional, but once whilst we were downing Maloriak two of our healers died. We didn't have much health left to go, so I got myself knocked up into the air on purpose, so we had a few seconds without me being hit by the boss. I then used Heroic Leap to get some distance from the boss, and kited him by Intercepting a healer until he was killed.
Another example might be to taunt the boss as a dps then run away, so the boss spends around 5 seconds running towards the dps then back to the tank - giving the healers time to top everyone up.
Sure number-crunchers are useful, but the top *top* raiding guilds need people like I've described above, as well as being able to maximise their character.
Jul 19th 2011 7:20AM I urge all raiding warlocks to try Chimaeron as an affliction lock.
It's quite fun to be on +80% health whilst everyone else is hovering around 20%

I'll never join you!!
Jun 8th 2011 8:05AM Undercity. When I started, and still 3 years later I cannot ever go up the side with the flight master on it.
May 26th 2011 10:35AM To be honest, I want unskilled players to sit up or shut up.
That's why people are complaining about the nerfs.
May 24th 2011 10:05AM I want all my fire colour to be customisable - they tried with Fel Flame but I want it ALL!!
Green perhaps, I want black flames so that I can scream "AMATERASU!!!!" with every cast... :>
May 22nd 2011 8:18AM I came from Runescape, so I spent the first 2 weeks of play freaking out that I could make my character jump.. it was something I'd never experienced before in an MMO :D
I explored everywhere as I leveled, I was really really slow BUT I loved every second of it, and it meant that I got the Explorer title so easily.
As I've got older, it's saddening that I'm firstly losing that sense of noobishness and simple joy of playing the game as I become more and more focussed on levelling as fast as possible, and also because the game is so much more accessible now, that it facilitiates that mindset that I've been developing
May 22nd 2011 4:45AM For low-geared fury warriors try stacking as much hit from gems / enchants and reforging as you can, it'll make your rage aquisition much smoother.
When you start getting raid gear, trim away that hit rating and put it into mastery, crit etc.
For my tank, I Battle Shout, charge the boss, taunt it, jump-rotate to turn it on the spot, shield slam it, and then I'm good to go. Then I follow up with Devastate / Heroic Strike spam until Revenge procs or shield slam is back up, don't ever loose threat unless my battle shout was on cooldown when I go in.
