Patch 3.2.2 PTR: Pandaren and Lil' K.T. pets revealed in latest build {WoW}

Aug 29th 2009 6:20AM Actually it started as an AFD joke and was so well received, Metzen added them into Warcraft III.

Patch 3.2.2 PTR: First impresssions of Onyxia {WoW}

Aug 16th 2009 7:30AM Well try here: http://www.massively.com/2009/04/23/meet-the-team-lesley-smith/ and here: http://www.wow.com/2009/07/06/visually-impaired-players-the-unseen-inhabitants-of-azeroth/. You might also try looking a little further as my status as a VIP is mentioned quite openly on my personal blog. I didn't mentioned it in my site bio as I didn't feel it was relevant but that was several months ago.

I have now turned off error message so any future videos I produce will not include them.

In the past, I've raided extensively. I used to do Karazhan, Gruul, MGT, and more recently Ulduar, OS, Naxx, even Malgyos (for er fun :S and I'm not doing him again!) but as my sight has deteriorated recently I have had to retire from raiding. The last boss I tackled was Ignis and I hate him passionately.

Sarcasm and humour do not translate particularly well into text so be mindful in future. Normally I take these things with a pinch of salt but to have so many people commenting on my playing abilities got a tad insulting.

The point remains, such videos are not about the skills of the person shooting the video but about making new content accessible to those who might not have accounts on the PTR. It's a public service.

So to reiterate, this post is about the awesomeness of Onyxia so can we keep on topic please? Thanking you :D

Patch 3.2.2 PTR: First impresssions of Onyxia {WoW}

Aug 15th 2009 4:10AM I never normally reply to greyed out posts but I'm going to do so now, just this one. I'm going to do so calmly.

1) This video was not to demonstrate my playing skills AT ALL, it was to show off Onyxia.

2) I am a VISUALLY IMPAIRED PERSON. Do I need to spell that out? Seriously.

3) I had no AddOns on the PTR

4) I will switch that pesky sound effect off eventually but here I need it. Sorry.

5) I know I suck, it's why I don't raid any more. I suck because I CANNOT SEE. I don't write about raiding for WoW.com, nor would I wish to. I don't claim to be a good raider either. I prefer questing and killing things on my own.

Aion intro cinematic beautiful but slightly vague? {Massively}

Aug 12th 2009 6:04PM Er the game comes from Korea, NOT Japan. There's a big difference.

How the "Summon Memory" fight in the Trial of the Champion should have been done {WoW}

Aug 12th 2009 5:55AM In my defence, having just updated FRAPS and started using it, that was my first 'proper' video. Trying to give you lot a good glimpse of Onyxia and fight her make it a little difficult ... Plus you're right, I can't see the c/d on spells (my addons were turned off, silly me)/

That said I had no idea you could turn off the annoying sound effects, ta very muchly!

Oh yeah, I was gutted. I'd really been looking forward to that fight. No melodrama there :D

Ancilorn reveals extended EU maintenance next week {WoW}

Jul 9th 2009 3:24PM No idea ... we can but hope.

Click on revealed in the first par :)

Visually impaired players: The unseen inhabitants of Azeroth {WoW}

Jul 6th 2009 3:36PM I'm not undervaluing AddOns, I'm just say why should we rely on them when Blizzard should have thing kind of accessibility built into their game? AddOns are awesome and the different kinds continue to amaze me but they are third-party apps filling gaps in a first-party game. There's something not right there.

TurpsterVision: TCG Loot and Huge Roosters {WoW}

Jul 1st 2009 3:31AM @Zaniac

It's simple, it's all about regions. Because the T and I are based in Europe, we deal with Upper Deck International here in the UK. It's not about whether EU or US people can use the cards, it's about the competition itself and Upper Deck International have asked that these cards be given away in a competition specifically for European readers.

Hands on with the Aion beta: Your first steps in Asmodae {Massively}

Jun 21st 2009 4:10AM No I didn't, as with the previous set of features, the Ascension quest gets it's own piece. Check back later today.
