Jan 4th 2012 2:45PM @Clemalum07 I got a short ban for doing just that. I've always had fun playing the Auction Houses in MMOs. I still do it in WoW as well. The ban is one of three reasons I refuse to go back to SWToR.
Dec 18th 2011 7:17AM My pets would all go without food and water...
I'll need to call up an animal loving friend to come feed the poor cats, dogs, turtles, rats, guinea pig, and chinchilla.
Apr 29th 2011 6:38PM I can't agree with this.
I think it looks like recycled Mage armor... but with pants.
Mar 3rd 2011 4:37PM "In Rift I can ride a mount right away at level 1. Why not in WoW?"
Wow is all about reaching goals. As someone who has been playing since the days of the level 40 mount, I can honestly say that reaching that point was one of the best times I've had in game.
If you're just given a mount right away, there is no sense of accomplishment. No pride.
If you have to "suffer" 20 to 40 levels before your first mount, you appreciate it more. You work your way towards the goal of having a mount. You also learn to appreciate the world a bit more because you pretty much HAVE to look at it, rather than just speeding through it.
If WoW ever decides to give 60% or higher mounts to level 1 characters, I'll rage hard. 25% to 40% mounts would be ok though.
Feb 26th 2011 3:52PM So far ice stood in deathwings flames twice (once in both his path and in the burning afrermath, And the other in just his path) and have yet to die from it. No
Am I invincible to deathwing?
If so, this rogue will be charging hundreds of thousands of gold to join peoples raids.
Feb 15th 2011 2:16AM It's my personal policy to say "Grats!" in-game whenever anything good happens.
Got an achievement? Grats! Leveled up? Grats! Got a great loot drop? Grats! Somone gave you 1c for dancing on the Orgrimmar Mailbox? Grats! Killed a level 15 Human on your level 85 Orc? Grats!
I even have a macro set to say "Grats!"... That poor poor button...
Feb 11th 2011 8:16AM My very first Cata heroic group was the best I've ever had... and it was, surprisingly, on Stonecore. We ran through with only one wipe... and we were laughing about it. We all got along great (despite not knowing each other at all) and pushed our way through with no real issues other than being new to Cata heroics.
After that, I've experienced 19 bad groups in a row... yeah... that's 19 times in a row I found myself alone in a heroic because someone rage-quit, offended someone, dc'd too many times, or didn't feel like trying anymore after the first wipe.
So out of my first 20 heroic pugs... only the very first was great... and the very first was completed.
That issue doesn't happen much now though.
Feb 1st 2011 10:16AM I've been thinking about submitting my steampunk-inspired UI for a long time... but I fear the hate I'll receive due to the fat that I do NOT raid and don't use any raiding mods and actually like the character frames in their default positions (but skinned of course).
Jan 28th 2011 4:19AM Untrue.
As someone who also keeps up with tech and builds gaming rigs, I can attest that some games work far better with nVidia cards and other games work better with ATi cards.
For example, WoW tends to get better and smoother frame-rates on nVidia cards (when compared to the "equivalent" ATI cards). I know this from personal experience and running various benchmarks of my own.
However, I've noticed a massive performance boost in games such as Call of Duty: MW2/BO and Dirt2 when using ATi cards when compared to "equivalent" nVidia setups.
The oddity I've noticed is that, while ATi cards seem to handle the CoD games better in single-card setups, when you compare crossfire with SLi setups nVidia becomes, by far, the top dog when it comes to that game.
It all has to do with how the individual game is coded as well as how the graphics card translates the code.
