I'm still forced to wonder why though. Why is that guild not allowed to have a guild bank? What about a guild that size makes it so that they can't at least have one tab?
Again, I get what they are trying to do, I just think that there are much better ways to do it.

It can still hurt small guilds. Not everyone is going to have free slots, and may have characters in multiple different guilds with different focuses. I don't see why a small social guild made up of people from other larger guilds that don't want other people in their guild but don't have the character spaces to make artificially more members (which also adds to the space taken) can't have a guild bank in their guild.

I get that, but I think that there are much better ways to go about it than to have a 15 member limit. For example, they could limit it the same way they limit your ability to make a guild if that's the concern.

Just because they can doesn't make the limit any less pointless.

One simple question. Why?
The cost is fine, the limit is rather stupid. I don't see why they would add the limit other than to either make people make characters they may never have the intention of playing (because you really only need 3 active accounts in a guild to get that limit, which kind of removes the whole social reason) or to get people they may not want to play with. Or not have their characters in different guilds, since not everyone has characters in the same guild.
Again, it's stupid. It's not about how hard it is, it's how pointless it is.
Apr 3rd 2012 11:29PM The 15 member limitation seems rather pointless. It kind of cuts out people who are just in small friend guilds for a reason I can't really fathom.
Apr 3rd 2012 10:46AM The reasoning for the buff is really kind of stupid. As is making it only work if the player's sex matches the characters and other bonuses that has. I mean, what are they thinking with this?
Mar 30th 2012 11:37AM I think the key for most games is to make a system that has the possibility of being complex for those who want to do all the number crunching while at the same time making it simple enough that most people appreciate it and can use it without needing to do a lot of reading.
Take, for example, SWTORs moddable gear. It's relatively simple in how it's implemented. You get items you can slot into place, and those determine the stats on your gear. For people who just want to look a certain way, this allows them to keep the same gear for multiple levels. For the min-maxers, this allows them to completely optimize their gear the best stats for their class/spec. Now the initial implementation of ops and PvP gear kind of removed this, but they are changing that in the next update.
Mar 29th 2012 3:13PM That sucks for the people working at those studios.
It also sucks that they are making the game single player. I'll probably still keep an eye on it, but I'm disappointed that it won't be an MMO.
Mar 29th 2012 2:43PM That's disappointing.
