Nov 22nd 2010 11:44AM This is one of my favorite holidays; you can take a character with cooking level 1, and (with enough gold) go all the way to 300!
May 14th 2009 7:21PM Normally, swearing and what not don't bother me in the slightest. It's when the 'children' start typing the words, that I get a little frustrated. Hearing the same curse words over and over and over because 'they can feel a sense of power' when they use them, bugs the bejesus out of me.
May 1st 2009 10:59AM There are two parties to blame for this fiasco. First, when the mistake was made Karatechop should have used what's in his brainpan and realized that there HAD to be some mistake. He should have reported it immediately; instead he chose to keep it private and abuse it.
Second, Blizzard made a mistake, but you can't fault them for that; one letter in a character's name keeps some from avoiding a copyright infringement (and violation of the EULA), so too can one letter make the difference between a GM character getting a GM item, and a player's character getting it.
What you can fault Blizzard for, however is outright banning the account for his first infraction. What they should have done is remove any 'game first achievements' and any benefit he may have accrued as a result of the error, or done that and then delete the character at the worst.
Apr 28th 2009 11:25AM I just posted something similar to this. Dang...these can be hard to keep up with.
I love the idea of being able to switch sides. It would even be nice to be able to join the scourge too!
Apr 28th 2009 11:08AM Like someone else on this topic mentioned, I would like to be able to team up with the opposite faction sometimes. In fact, I think it would be awesome if you could switch sides, based on a similar standard that NPCs react to you. At first, they would be hostile, but by doing mishes for the more neutral NPCs, your character could build a type of repoire, eventually becoming anything *except* exalted by the opposite faction. While doing this, conversely, you would lose status with your original faction, eventually making them hostile to you. By this means, I can see that eventually someone could make themselves neutral to all factions.
It would also be nice to see a "frequent flier" achievement that would grant the ability (when you fly via the rentable rides) to NOT take the scenic route, and fly directly to the location that you wish to go to. Or better yet, allow you to avoid the time of flying and appear where you need to go, without delay.
Also, wouldn't it be absolutely the coolest thing to be able to have the ability to dye/paint/alter the color of your gear to match, so that you don't look like a multi-colored clown everytime you get a new piece of gear? And who doesn't want to make their sword/axe/hammer/dagger have a gleam of some color that makes it stand out a little?
I am sure that I have more, but I have to go and take care of my little one.

Apr 23rd 2009 9:57AM I understand the need to fix bugs, glitches, etc., but what I don't understand is why they don't do these wonderful restarts at 3am when the least amount of people are on. Starting them at 5am means that on the East coast it's 9am, people who are not working/going to school, etc. are screwed until after lunch. This is assuming that the repairs will only take 3 hours or so.
This downtime affects my game time, robbing me of my already-paid-for time, and (from what I understand) one of the reasons that Blizzard was reported to the BBB.
Apr 14th 2009 2:34PM Well, while I think that the downtime of 32 hours sounds like a bit of an exaggeration, I understand what Orion is saying. Why is it that Blizzard has to have maintenance in the middle of the day? Why not have maintenance in the middle of the night (3am PST and later), when there are the fewest players online? At those times, on the East coast (US), people are getting ready for school and work, and won't have time to play anyway. The maintenance could be done by 6-7am (PST) and everyone can play happily for the rest of the day.
That's my 2 copper on the matter...good hunting.
