Lichborne: Why the death knight blood tree needs tweaks {WoW}

Jun 28th 2011 3:30PM Well said.

This pretty much summarises my tanking experience; on top of all the boss positioning and keeping an eye on boss ability cooldowns, as well as threat generation, I'm having to devote a lot of braincells to just keeping myself alive - and I'm running low on braincells these days.

I find that I'm keeping diseases up, burning off Blood Runes, Runestriking and saving the Deathstrikes for reacting to big hits - the only problem is that you can't do this until you're 30-40% of the way through a fight as you need to burn everything that pops up to generate threat before that point.

A little change somewhere would be nice to take some of the stress out of staying alive, but I really like the Mastery-Blood Shield system that we have going on at the moment.

May 27th 2011 2:18AM And now, the talent that you have to take in the Frost tree becomes practically useless in PvE, as is was it was a great emergency move for add kiting. Now if it gets to the point where you need it, you're dead.

I can cope with Glyph of Dark Succor being turned into Victory Rush, but it's another case of PvP messing up my PvE.

May 5th 2011 2:20AM Aye, because of the debuffs from diseases, there's rarely any point in time when I don't have them up on a boss. Doing a little bit of extra threat isn't particularly exciting.

But the 4 piece is going to be nice. Hitting 65-70% avoidance is going to mean that DRW is going to get used nonstop now.

Mar 30th 2011 2:24AM I'd have to agree with all of that, adding Bloodshield Tracker to the list, as well. Even though shields stack now, spamming Deathstrike whenever you have runes isn't the most efficient way to use it.

A good rune tracking mod is essential as well, there are a lot out there, so it's worth experimenting to find one that works for you - my favorite at the moment is mRunes. Trying to see a bunch of tiny circles in the top left of your UI is a bad idea whilst your getting your face pounded.

Race changes to worgen and goblins will be available on launch night {WoW}

Nov 10th 2010 2:22AM Doesn't seem like too dumb an idea to me.

From all the hype about the new starting zones for Goblins and Worgen, people are still going to roll alts to see it, whether or not they'll be able to rock up with a race-changed 80 on release day.

What this will do is cut down on the heavy duty lag in Ashara and Gilneas on day one, a lot of people would be out to power level their new Goblins and Worgen on Dec 7th.

Lichborne: Patch 4.0.1 death knight mailbag {WoW}

Oct 27th 2010 2:29AM I'm actually thinking that the DnD glyph might not be such a silly idea after all.

Okay, you lose a bit of single target threat by not taking the DS glyph, but single target threat isn't too much of an issue, as long as you remember to hit RS whenever it's up.

AoE threat is a nightmare for me at the moment, especially compred to pre-patch, when you used to be able to lock everything down rather nicely. Granted, the DPS need to learn to behave themselves a bit more now, but it's been such a difference in holding threat that I'm getting a bit disillusioned with my trusty old Blood tank.
