Jan 28th 2012 2:10AM Why is dreamcloth BoP? And why is it still on a cooldown?
Jan 10th 2012 2:10PM My kids play Roblox for hours and hours. They have access to PS3, DS, Wii games and WoW and they would rather spend time 'feeding' a 'dragon' (8 blobs) with 'meat' (a single featureless red cube).
Gameplay is most important, but sometimes it needs to be enhanced with better graphics. The day I can look at my Tiny Chest of Glass Animals in detail, I will be a very happy archaeologist.
Nov 25th 2011 4:10AM If Twisted Faith goes I am going to have an expensive job regemming, enchanting and reforging to get over the fact that half my gear is +Spirit.
Overall I am pretty wary of these wholesale changes to specs which aren't broken in the first place. My experience of Cata was spoilt by the invention of Chakra and the constant minor/major tweaks to it in the weeks around when 4.0 hit. I had leveled as Holy, raid-healed over 4 years and ended up hanging up my healing shoes in exasperation. Hence my new shiny shadow-self, which I have great fun playing and been pleased to see is competitive in raids, even though my dps-head is quite a new one.
You quite rightly point out that these spells and talents are subject to change, but that only fills me with more feelings of exasperation. Shadow isn't broken. I enjoy playing it. I don't need it to be changed in any way (can understand others might need certain tweaks for PVP perhaps). With these wide-ranging fundamental changes to spells and talents MoP looks to me like it'll be even worse than Cata in terms of spec changes, tweaks, more changes, re-balancing etc etc, week after week, when all I need is a stable spec to play and keep me quiet after a day's work, kids etc!
Nov 15th 2011 8:51AM I asked whether Chakra would remain as is, but they didn't reply to that one. All-in-all I thought the Q&A was rather loaded with info about locks, rogues and pallies and sadly lacking for us priests.
In response to the disc/holy debate, I always played (and loved) holy and would just like to be able to really operate well in all situations using that spec. Adding spells from disc would make it less fun for me, not more - we already have double the abilities to use compared to hybrids and I like that versatility, but merging disc and holy would be going too far.
Sep 6th 2011 12:03PM I leveled as Holy through vanilla (with warrior partner, we got there in the end) and then raided in TBC and WOTLK. Four years of dealing with the idiosyncrasies of Holy spec and loving it :) I remember all of the above with fond memories, and I would take any of them back if only they would remove Chakra. I haven't healed since 4.0 hit :(
Mar 14th 2011 10:12AM Hubby and I have just taken a break from WoW for exactly the same reasons. We've been in the hotseats in our guild for over 3 years and while we did very much what Scott suggests, the hardest part was letting go. We just had to accept that we would hand things on, and that no matter what happened to the guild in the meantime we could handle it. In fact, it has worked wonderfully, our fellow officers have stepped up and are finding their own way to do things. And while I miss the people, the sense of relief when the burden was handed over was enormous.
What I would say is: don't burn bridges. Leave with dignity, pay respect to anyone who offers help to the guild in your absence, and keep in touch with the people, who are as you say, the most important part of the game.
Feb 22nd 2011 4:39AM Agreed. It's just not fun to heal as holy priest any more. Hotfix, patch, hotfix, hotfix, several abilities whose tooltips don't match what they actually do, encounters that cannot be healed through if even one player puts a foot wrong for a half a second, or if you didn't bring the exact group composition...tedious.
Feb 16th 2011 1:08PM 'Since the release of patch 4.0.6' - 7 days ago. Two sets of hotfixes since then and more changes to come...
Feb 10th 2011 8:52AM The dreadful ticket response I got when I raised this, plus the fact that the achievement is bugged and shows me at 45/45 when it should say 48/50 makes this even more of a kick in the face. What kind of race would it be where when you win and get your medal they move the finishing line, take your medal away and tell you to run further? AND reserve the right to do the same in future without warning?
All the recent meddling with game content, abilities (I play Holy Priest), achievements, guild achievements etc is making the game nigh-on unplayable. I have no idea from one day to the next what I am going to find hotfixed or patched, and very few of the changes are positive. Time for me to move on.
Jan 27th 2011 11:56AM Why are almost all mobs in Grim Batol immune to mind control, yet they can be sapped or sheeped? What is the thinking behind removing one of your group's crowd control options?
