Breakfast Topic: What's your favorite ability in WoW? {WoW}

Mar 9th 2011 1:37PM Hellfire on the move is so awesome! As soon as i was able to do that in my demo-spec, i created a simple macro like

#showtooltip Hellfire
/say I'm on fire!!!
/cast Hellfire

There's something beautiful about dominating damagemeters on trash, while just running around with my hands high in the air. Screaming and jumping like a 'tard.

Even better when screaming in demonic speak, when meta is popped :D

Breakfast Topic: How often do you read quest text? {WoW}

Nov 29th 2010 8:49AM I always read the text. I love the stories.

At the moment i'm cursing my heirloom items. I love the quality of the gear, but i hate the XP bonus. I started some new alts and leveled through some zones. The stories are awesome! (especially Silverpine Forest). I just wish i would be able to finish a zone at the correct level, instead of being 4 levels higher then i should be. :s

I want the text, the gold and the gear! And not that much XP!

Cataclysm: Guards in starting zones buffed to level 90 {WoW}

Nov 5th 2010 10:14AM gotta love sarcasm :D

Oct 14th 2010 1:13PM I think that isn't a metal jaw. One of the trademarks of his dad, Grom Hellscream, was a black tattood jaw. Garrosh probably has his jaw tattood too.

WoW Moviewatch: Acting with Certainty {WoW}

Oct 8th 2010 9:00PM I love the use of classic artwork in this cinematic. Nice blend of story, music and images.
Somehow, the images let me think of Edward Munch (known for "the scream" among others).

Nice touch on 1:45, when the character mirrors the painting (it looks like "the thinker", but what picture is it?).

At the moment i'm still unsure how to view this movie. Is the story relevant, or is it sll about the sound and pictures? I do know it forces me to ask questions. I'm leaning towards regarding it as a very good tribute to "classic" art.
What i'm sure about, is that it's impressive, from an artistic point of view.
Well done!

The Queue: BlizzCon or bust {WoW}

Oct 7th 2010 4:23PM Omg i know i shouldn't post my previous post while at work, busy. As Drakkenfyre and Wulf point out, it's not entirely correct (and neither is WoWWiki, which i used as a source of my info).

Northrend Flying requires level 68 and expert skill. There's no heirloom option anymore. I can't verify if the price is still 1000g or 500g

Flightmaster's Licence requires level 60 and expert skill.

wtb edit etc ;-)

Note: without Cold Weather Flying and/or the Flightmaster’s License you’ll still be restricted to flying in Outland only.

Cold Weather Flying
Requirements: level 77 + journeyman skill or better
Costs: 1000g, minus faction discounts.
Does: Has no effect on land mounts. Allows you to use all your flying mounts in Northrend
Heirloom option: Level 80 characters (or higher) can buy a heirloom (account-bound) Tome of Cold Weather Flight, which can be used by characters from level 68 or higher.

Flightmaster’s License
Requirements: level 80 + journeyman skill or better
Costs: 250g, minus faction discounts
Does: has no effect on land mounts. Allows you to use all your flying mounts in Kalimdor, the Eastern Kingdoms and in Deepholm.
Note: seems to be not working in Blood Elf and Draenei starter zones on the beta. Will probably change?

TL:DR
All your mounts will scale in Cataclysm. You can buy +310% or get it for free by earning an achievement.

The Art of War(craft): Keybinding your way to winning form {WoW}

Sep 17th 2010 6:23AM @Eturyu:

Enable enemy healthbars (default: press V). There's some addon that makes those enemy healthbars better looking & more useful, but i'm at work and don't remember the name. Sorry.

Create a macro for each of your abilities like this:

#showtooltip Ability Name
/cast [@mouseover, exists, nodead, harm] [] Ability Name

Done.

Blood Pact: Tip-top trinkets {WoW}

Jun 1st 2010 8:50PM @Frosty0r

Noooo!
The Glyph of Quick Decay (which every afflictionlock and demolock should use) let's your corruption scale with Haste.
So if you've got that glyph, and you refresh your Corruption thanks to the Everlasting Affliction Talent (by casting Haunt, Shadowbolt or Drain soul), your Corruption refreshes.

The refreshed corruption keeps it's old critchance and damagemodifiers, but gets your current haste and spellpower.

So..... crit and damagemodifiers "roll" the whole fight, while the haste and spellpower (of corruption) gets refreshed every single time corruption is refreshed by Everlasting Afflicion.

Blood Pact: Tip-top trinkets {WoW}

May 31st 2010 9:40PM For afflictionlocks:

Every time Corruption is refreshed, it will get the value of the spellpower / haste you have at the moment you refresh it.
So.... no need to reapply corruption when your spellpower changes.

Corruption does however keep both the critchance and the damagemodifiers (like the 4p t10 bonus) of it's initial cast.

That's wy the NeverMelting IceCrystal is so great. A good afflictionlock will start his rotation on the boss without activating the trinket. However, when the 4p t10 bonus procs (+10% damage on everything), Seed of Corruption is cast on the boss (to remove the "old" Corruption), followed by activating the NMIC, drinking a potion of Wild Magic and the re-cast of Corruption. That Corruption should be kept on the boss untill the end of the fight, because it will have an extremely high crit-chance (and damage).
