The Queue: So let's talk for a minute, East Coast ... {WoW}

Aug 25th 2011 12:05PM Go to the Joystiq website. You can change your profile there but the picture upload is a bit glitchy sometimes. Close wow.comand delete cookies. Go to Joystiq, upload pic, voila :)

The Queue: Attunement was awesome {WoW}

Aug 23rd 2011 11:57AM They have made it easier in a way. For example, you now get ground mounts at a much earlier level than you used to. I spent so much of my time back in vanilla running up and down Darkshore and around Ashenvale. What a slog! Also there are more flight paths so travelling is much quicker. Quests are better thought out so the questgiver doesn't make you run for miles back to the place you just came from. You now get exp in BGs and from gathering. If the level cap does increase (which I guess it will) I'm sure Blizz will have something up their sleeves to make levelling even less onerous again.

Aug 23rd 2011 11:28AM The artists worked hard at the time on the old tiers too, so I think it's great for them that people will be running about in all the old gear again. Some people might not have been playing in vanilla and BC so they wont have seen these awesome tiers. Bring them back I say!

Everyone will run out and grab their favourite tier at the beginning no doubt but I think you'll see more diversity as time goes on. At the moment every other pre-raid mage looks exactly like me gear wise. After the patch i'm going to mix and match into something I like so the sight of all those troll geared mages won't make your eyes bleed ;)

Hacker groups tried to take down WoW ... and failed {WoW}

Aug 22nd 2011 11:22AM They'll prob hack WoW, have big lulz over it for abouit 10 mins then sit back and think 'right time for a game of..........dammit!'

Drama Mamas: Namecalling {WoW}

Aug 22nd 2011 10:03AM How annoying! They obviously should have called you Pally 1 and Pally 2 ; )

I don't have a problem with it personally. If you're in a pug there's no time to keep looking at peoples names because everyone is usually rushing off into bad things barely knowing who the tank is or whether the healer is following. I usually have enough time to buff (just about) then we're off!

Also some names are completely unpronounceable and therefore difficult to remember. I might say 'protect healer when adds spawn' for example because if I use a name the others might not know quickly enough who I'm referring to. I don't mind being called mage. I'm proud of being a mage and when someone say 'mage pls kite blah blah' that's fine by me.

The Queue: BlizzCon or bust, again {WoW}

Aug 19th 2011 11:36AM How exactly did Rhonin change the history of the War of the Ancients? Didn't it have the same outcome as it would have had he not been sent back? I haven't read the book. Maybe I should but I kind of like the original story and not sure how I feel about Knaacks version.

I guess what I'm asking is, if the Infinite Dragonflight are trying to undo Knaack's retcon (which would be funny) how would the outcome of the war change? What exactly did Rhonin do?

Breakfast Topic: Did changing factions change how you play? {WoW}

Aug 19th 2011 9:57AM I doubt there are that many differences between alliance players and horde players. I ended up being alliance because at the time there were no 'attractive' horde races. Hey I like my chars to be pretty! By the time belfs were introduced I was already in a nice guild alliance side and having fun. Had I started playing in BC I might be a hordie. Plenty of my guildies play both sides. I have some horde chars. Is there really a difference?

P.S. I'm glad you found a nice guild :)

Blizzard issues transmogrification system clarifications {WoW}

Aug 19th 2011 9:45AM I dunno. I quite like how awesome everyone looks in a raid. It feels a bit epic like we're all double hard bastards. It might just make us all look like some angry villagers if we all run in wielding frying pans and brooms :P

Saying that I do like the idea of slapping Deathwing across the face with a haddock.

Aug 19th 2011 9:37AM I hope so. I completed Loremaster a while ago and managed to collect some lovely looking gear. I had to be ruthless though and vendor a lot of it because of space issues. I managed to keep a few things but I'm a bit gutted I wont be able to get my hands on them again.

I remeber I accidentally vendored a quest pet once (when they took up bag space) and I was able to get it back through some woman in SW. Maybe they will introduce this for quest gear but you would have to pay. Can you imagine how much gear would be in there though! ;P
