Is There Too Much Honor in Crossrealm BGs? {WoW}
Sep 7th 2006 10:06AM While there are a lot of positives that come with the crossrealm battles, like meeting new players, facing new foes (it's nice not getting crushed by the same horde team over and over)... the problem as many many people have laid out is that the people at the top of the ranks who play non stop have pushed the honor curve way off and it is now much more difficult to rank up. I like numbers, here are numbers:
prior to the cross realms 200k honor would get me about 10,500 points towards my rank, at Commander that's enough to move me along a little
after the cross realms 250k honor barely got me 8,000 rating points and was not enough to beat the honor decay
this new system does not reward everyone equally, it gives those people who have the most time to spend the most benefit, and increases the deficit of those who do not have such time

Sep 7th 2006 9:40AM For me, the big noob encounter (which happens A LOT) is some level 10 asking for directions from Darnassus to Stormwind. After giving them the directions (which we all know are long, complicated and dangerous) being asked to escort them.
Second biggest would be someone asking about a piece of gear I have and offering me money for it. 99% of the time the item is soulbound, and after being told this they offer more money for it....

Aug 16th 2006 10:08AM 1. Locks - since fear can't be broken by damage, you get feared, and by the time fear is over you have 23 dots on you... and of course, you can be feared again...
2. Rogues - a well played rogue is unstoppable, can keep you stunned for the entire duration of the battle and tear you to shreds
3. Shammies - they just annoy the crap out of me all around
