Mar 9th 2011 12:00PM Seriously? THIS is spotlighted?
- Ugly, default textures for the unitframes with a hp bar that's hideously gigantic.
- The fonts and bar textures are all over the place. There's no consistency here. Any designer in any field will tell you that a consisitent look and feel is very important for the overall design. You've got a serif font for the timers and castbar and two different types of sans-serif fonts for everything else. Keep it similar.
- Omen with an eyesore of a background. You're already using Skada. Why not use it for threat as well so you have a more consistent look? They're both based off of Blizzard threat now so there aren't any inaccuracies anymore.
- Use a chat addon. Default font with flashing tabs doesn't exactly scream pretty.
This is one of the worst UI's ever spotlighted. It's not good-looking and doesn't involve anything new or little-known.
Feb 7th 2011 5:27PM These are general strategies on how to defeat the bosses. Though helpful, I highly doubt warlock players reading that the title stated, "Blood Pact: Beginning The Bastion of Twilight as a warlock", came for that. The mentions on warlock-specific strats are few and even less-detailed than the boss descriptions. These posts aren't helpful at all. I came here for warlock-specific tricks and tactics on these bosses.
For example as mentioned in one of the comments already, Bane of Havoc on Valiona is downright amazing. Just put it on the dragon that flies up and Doom the one that's on the ground. You're essentially doing 115% dps the ENTIRE fight.
You also barely glazed over destro tactics and didn't even mention demonology very much at all. As a warlock columnist, I expected tactics on every spec. Should've named the article "...as a low DPS Affliction warlock" then.
The other shaman BWD article at least had specific enhancement strategies and tactics, which is why people of these classes would read these.

May 19th 2009 11:47AM Hello! Economy's been rough on me, this could really help!
Apr 30th 2009 2:57PM Problem right now is that every class brings a buff/debuff. I love the idea of giving our pure DPS classes more unique group buffs/debuffs since there is absolutely no reason to have them now (besides overfilling of hybrids, which means too much loot competition).
These DPS classes actually still have unique abilities in CC's, but that's useless now in WOTLK with everything being AOE'd down. So I'd be more than happy to have them debuff even more (fyi I play a hybrid and being able to match up to certain pure DPS classes just isn't fair when I can easily heal/tank as well).
That or introduce a new class for the next expansion. A bard type that mainly specializes in buffs/debuffs.
Apr 22nd 2009 3:52PM I'ved used a bag mod before and actually liked it. Everything was neat and organized into sections.
However, one glaring issue was separating BOE green armors/weapons from your regular off-spec gear. I'd run off to sell the junk in my bag only to find the greens with my "equipment" section later on.
Is there a better way of handling that?
