Oct 4th 2011 10:10PM It's unlikely that it's a typo.
Blizzard seems to like setting the cap a bit lower than what you might get if you completed absolutely everything in a week (Every boss, seven dungeons, etc.)
That way you can sort of mix and match what you want and reach the cap, instead of feeling like you need to do everything.
Sep 25th 2011 1:02PM It works better if you're a hunter with a pet gorilla named Boots.

Please don't fix it. It sounds so great.
Sep 16th 2011 6:43PM I can't say I'm surprised.
Print media is in dire straits already, let alone a magazine that purports to track an ever-changing online game at a rate of once per month (At best). This never made sense to me, and frankly I'm surprised it lasted so long.
I'm not saying the content itself was poor, the idea just wasn't a good one.
Aug 28th 2011 12:57PM I did not get that lucky with Rivendare, but I did with the Raven Lord. It was back in Wrath, while you still needed a druid to summon the boss. I had run the place a handful of times with a friend, but had never seriously farmed it.
One day I decided to try an experiment. My main toon, and the one I collect mounts on, is a DK. He's the one I wanted to get the Raven Lord for. I also had a druid at 80.
So I got them both in a group, cleared up to Anzu's room on my DK and then logged over to the druid, who'd been placed at the entrance. I quickly moved him up to Anzu's room, summoned the boss, and in the 30 seconds or so of RP, I had enough time to switch to my DK and successfully engage and kill the boss.
I had no expectation of the mount dropping, I just wanted to see if that method would even work. I was surprised that it did. I was even more surprised that he dropped a shiny new Raven Lord mount!
Aug 14th 2011 2:17PM Yep, anyone who didn't immediately have Calvin and Hobbes flashbacks upon seeing "Transmogrifier," is not a worthwhile human being.
Aug 11th 2011 2:27PM Unlikely, unless they've hardcoded it to contribute to the achievement.
The mount is technically an on-use effect on the Staff, it does not get added to your spellbook like other mounts. This is, at least, as far as I know.
Aug 11th 2011 2:24PM Augh! Congrats to them.
This staff is especially painful for me. I'm an obsessive mount collector, but I'm a Death Knight.
Maybe if I pester a GM enough, he'll let me equip staves.
