Dec 22nd 2010 12:58PM I often have that RSS issue and I use the wow.joystiq.com feed. Hope this helps!
Dec 20th 2010 3:26PM As a counterpoint to all the terrible experiences people have been having, I want to relate what happened when I ran my first (normal) Cataclysm dungeon last night. I'm a level 85 disc priest, and I've been kind of terrified about starting dungeons because of everything I've heard about how difficult things are, and how big a shift the new healing model is. I queued with my fiance and our friend, an ele shaman and a combat rogue, and we ended up in Halls of Origination with a pally tank and a moonkin.
The tank marked CC clearly and quickly, and he waited for me when I needed to drink. The DPS (fiance, friend, and anonymous but fabulous moonkin) knew their way around CC and were great at nuking some of those annoying mobs without aggro tables when they tried to eat me. All in all, it was a really good experience, and it makes me slightly less terrified to eventually begin heroics (I have the item level, but not the guts), because even though normals aren't as tough, the skills these guys showed will stand them all in really good stead in heroics. It sucks that tanks often have to suffer through bad DPS and DPS have to suffer through bad tanks, and everyone suffers from bad healers (no one likes to die!), but I promise there's hope that people will figure their stuff out and start to be awesome!
Dec 9th 2010 5:44PM I play with my fiancé, and his computer has much better graphics than mine, so consequently he plays WoW on higher graphical settings. Questing in Vash'jir, I would be going "geez, where is the ship" or "augh, I can't find the cave!" because everything around me was just this sort of blue fog, whereas could see all this pretty (and useful) zone stuff. Eventually I started putting him on follow when we were going places, although I still lost track of him a lot while trying to find/kill quest things.
Sep 9th 2010 12:12PM Absolutely. I've been leveling my first serious Alliance character (all my current 80s are Horde), and playing through quests with Defias lore made me want to roll a human that I could RP as a Defias-sympathizing rebel. I think my dwarf sympathizes with them, too. Because dwarves appreciate quality craftsmanship.
Aug 17th 2010 2:08PM Two of my favorite things in one place! And to think my guildies think my makeup obsession is weird. I'm particularly enamored of Tricks of the Trade.
Jun 17th 2010 4:17PM I just configured shadowed unit frames last night... awesome!

May 29th 2010 12:50PM The Drakkensyrd: http://www.wowhead.com/quest=12886
For anyone with a fear of heights that translates to WoW, this drake-jumping quest is easily among the most horrifying in the game. I remember feeling physically nauseous while doing it on both of my now-80s.
I also used to have big problems with Thunder Bluff and Freewind Post, but I'm getting better about those.
I also find any giant spiders pretty creepy, especially the Northrend ones, but for some reason not Nerubians. I mean, they're not great, but definitely easier for me to deal with.
Apr 22nd 2010 7:32PM Thanks Pyromelter, sounds like good advice. :) After work I'm going to go home and practice not being chaos bolted in WG... I hope.
