Sharing the same UI across all characters {WoW}

Dec 14th 2011 1:58AM I've been using the same UI on all my characters for seven years.

I think it shipped with the game...

Patch 4.3: New color-blind accessibility mode {WoW}

Sep 30th 2011 3:32AM >> It only becomes a problem when the color specifically carries information (real world case: the three colors on sound cards, all vaguely yellowish/greenish/pink) that cannot be divined via other means such as position or shape.

Y'know, I have normal color vision, and I can't tell the difference between those blasted ports, either. I either have to drag a very bright light source behind my desk to sort it out, or just play with the plugs till it works. I don't understand why they can't have readable words next to them.

Tough Love: How to kill the Crown Chemical Co. apothecaries {WoW}

Feb 8th 2010 5:34AM Rather than just not standing in stuff, move to the color that you match if you're ranged. The green and purple pools never overlap, and they last for a while, so if you move to a new matching pool, you won't have to worry about the floor for a while.

Also: definitely no tank needed. Have your tank use a dps spec instead. As long as the players stay on the right colors, these bosses don't do tank damage. With four dps, you'll do damage faster and the fight will be over sooner.

Patch 3.2 confirmed for this week on the French forums? {WoW}

Aug 3rd 2009 3:29PM I'm always happy to see new stuff, but it still seems like 3.2 has come too soon. I suppose this is because 3.2's raid is such a simplistic disappointment after Ulduar, so there's not nearly as much new art and stuff as usual. There have only been a few months since 3.1, like a dozen resets. Is that enough for a raid the size of Ulduar? Maybe for the top couple guilds on each server, but it would be nice for the rest of us to have some time with the hard modes before they become obsolete.

I could've sworn that Blizz said on Wrath's release that the three major patches would be about six months apart. Given the scale of what they're likely to be working on for Icecrown and 3.3, I hope that this "early" release of 3.2 doesn't mean that we'll be waiting for 9 months or more for 3.3.

Fix for the Midsummer Fire Festival being rolled out {WoW}

Jun 23rd 2009 4:14AM You can already get the other tabard. Since 3.1, you can destroy the one you have, and get the other for free from the Dalaran tabard vendor. I don't believe it's possible to have both in your bag/bank at the same time.

Fix for the Midsummer Fire Festival being rolled out {WoW}

Jun 23rd 2009 4:11AM The good news, if you have to do some again, or want to, is that you'll have enough for the pet/brazier (with luck), and you'll get some really easy gold. I did Northrend yesterday, and was able to do it again today. 120 blossoms and 160 gold. I can't complain.

Shifting Perspectives: Restoration and the Tree Druid's future {WoW}

May 26th 2009 9:56AM Tree form wasn't added in patch 1.8.

It's the 41-point talent. It was added when the new talents went live just prior to the release of TBC.

1.8 was the patch that first made feral halfway viable.

Insider Trader: Evolution of Fishing {WoW}

Apr 25th 2009 6:21PM The only thing that frustrates me about fishing -- and I like it enough to have finished all the achievements except that danged fishing contest (and I've been trying!) -- is that you don't get any better at actually casting within a pool the more skilled you get. I went out to do some real fishing with a friend -- having never fished before in my life -- and within maybe 30 minutes of practice I was able to cast within a 5-foot circle from 30 feet away. Can my character -- with thousands of fish caught -- do the same? Nope.
