Spiritual Guidance: What's up Shadow Priests? {WoW}

Sep 15th 2009 11:25PM Some one hit the nail on the head earlier by mentioning that Spriests need to do a lot more (i.e. complex rotations, optimal gear etc) for an O.K result in dps.
- Yes we are really good at moving fights (as dots still tick)
- Yes we are good at fights with a bucket load of adds to sear down

But having raided all of BC/Wrath to date (and without doing the math) there are only a handful of fights that we shine on - e.g. most recently Yogg.
But is that enough for committing to a class and investing time/gold into? Being good at fights that require Melee to run away from some type of Explosion?

It seems that our dps is based on other classes doing other things. i.e. If the raid is on the move (Heigan dance) - we are the best?

My 2 cents

Exodus punished for exploiting Yogg-Saron encounter {WoW}

Agreed. When Ensidia boasted about the Hodir 25 hard mode encounter being "mathematically impossible" (pre-nerf), and used their mages to spell steal off Freya's trash... No banning occured, and no one said that it was wrong. Total B/S

Spiritual Guidance: 3.1.2 thoughts and the Ulduar experience {WoW}

May 5th 2009 10:48PM My guild is working on Yogg10 at the moment, and in our primary 10 man group we have me as Disc and another as Holy.
My role primarily is tank focus with the pally, whilst our holy priest is on raid heals.

We complement each other nicely, especially on a mana-intensive fight such as Mimiron - where we take turns to throw up "Hymn of Hope" as well as "Divine Hymn".

I do agree with Matt regarding the tendency to heal more and be safe, especially whilst learning fights and predicting damage spikes based on boss/trash abilities.

Ready Check: Is Ulduar too easy? {WoW}

Apr 26th 2009 11:35PM At the end of the day, 10 man Ulduar might "seem" easier, because you take 10 highly skilled players with faster wipe recovery, easier communication etc. 25 man Ulduar COULD be as easy if you had the same ration of skilled players; and the reason top guilds are clearing all this it is because they do have 25 skilled players, not 10 skilled and 15 dragging along (which was possible in Naxx)

Furthermore Look at the guild who unlocked Alagon - Wraith - They done it on 10man. Nuff said.
