Apr 7th 2009 3:05PM Forgot how moving the music for 28 Days Later was, I gotta go watch that again. Shame the sequel wasn't nearly as good.
Apr 6th 2009 5:06PM That is possibly the worst song I've ever heard. "Yes, let's make a really awful sounding song trying to call out the guys that play females and pretend to be one, like they'll care what we think!"
Yeah, brilliant. /sarcasm.
Apr 1st 2009 4:30AM So very tired of reading complaints like this. The only exception is, yes, 10m 3D, and Blizzard has admitted that 25m 3D isn't tuned hard enough. 10m Maly is exceptionally easier, and his enrage time is beyond generous on 10m. If any part of 10m Naxx is hard I'd like to hear what, cause both are a complete joke now.
The part people always compare is "25m have more slack", this couldn't be further from the truth. The "idiot margin of error" is the same, 20%. Content at this tier, you can have 2 idiots in 10m, or 5 in 25m. Want proof? Look at the low manpower achievements, 8 and 20. The points your expected to get achievements because you can't bring any idiots. /story
Mar 21st 2009 1:10PM Close, Tauren Shaman. He revealed that before to some other interviewer, forgot who. (He's resto fyi) I'll grant he's actually a game a pretty huge nerd, he's got the name of his D&D character tatooed onto his back after he played the same character for fifteen years before it was killed off.
Mar 20th 2009 2:24PM I'm at over 10 thousand casts toward the Dark Herring. This game's RNG hates me with a passion, a comment that was once a joke and my guild now understands. Any time I have ever rolled for an item in an instance, /random for any real reason, etc, I haven't rolled over 45 in over 5 months.
No, that isn't an exaggeration, it's now a guild joke.
Mar 4th 2009 5:45PM What you're missing is simple. They may be saving additional buttons for anyone that is dual specced, which will effect mains and alts that people want to put it on. But it will only be for people willing to use dual specs (numerous players don't care about this feature), compared to expanding the default bag further, which is for every character made. Bank alts and all, that's a lot more information to handle.
They've also said they want to do it, but will need to do it in a fashion that requires a certain requirement like dual specs.
Feb 13th 2009 12:22PM Starting at 80 is just nuts. If anything, start it at the original level cap. Much like getting your epic mount, you get your second spec. By that point you'll of been able to reach the bottom of any given talent tree, and let you branch out.
And let's be honest, leveling to 60 right now, you really don't need to respec for dungeons. It's not until BC content that this even becomes a popular choice again.
@the calls of dual specs being for only raiders: you're mental. It's for everyone. PvP&PvE spec. Tank&Heal spec. Farm&Raid spec. Those are just the most common uses it'll have, some hardcores will likely use it for situations like AoE tanking&single target tanking. (DK's I'm looking at you in particular)
Feb 10th 2009 10:11AM Just a point, Insanity no longer works the way you think it does I suspect. It no longer punishes groups for bringing one overgeared player. Health is now fixed to 12k for everyone, including the tank, and spell power is locked at around 1200 (EJ posted exact value from tests). This was to make the fight much easier and brutal than it once was, when it forced certain classes to go into pvp mode. (Rogues using mind-numbing+wound, etc)
On a sidenote, doing Arch with bad gear is still totally possible. The skill required to survive is almost non exsistant, but the skill to max your class dps is still key. While some classes that's easy, some it isn't. I remember the first time I went in the first 2 weeks of LK, geared in all the blues I had gathered from 77-80 with almost no dungeon runs yet, and still pulled 3k dps in my mostly junk gear. (Mut Rogue fyi, not a hunter)
Feb 3rd 2009 5:42PM The ignorance toward rogues always astounds me. Any good lock/boomkin/surv hunter rolls our dps hardcore, regardless of our spec. Blizzard has come out and said rogue dps is low because of numerous reasons people love to forget.
1) Lowest health pool of all melee, with weakest armor class. (Tied with Kitty druid, which is being buffed as well) When we have to stand in the PBAOE spam, it's not fun.
2) Melee needs to be in melee range. Changing between targets, dancing between slime/lava waves, running out of rings of death, etc; We aren't doing damage then. The 3 mentioned still are.
3) We bring one buff, the same hunters bring, misdirection. Situationally better or worse, depending on how it's needed.
Jan 15th 2009 7:29PM I understand the use such a realm would have, but it would require some pretty strict guidelines to keep it from exploding into insanity land, which seems to go against the point.
The perfect example is Second Life. Anyone that knows anything about that game knows there are two server flavors, family friendly and adult. The problem is they are far to extreme with no middle ground. FF allows no swearing, discussing of M rated games or R rated movies, that sort of thing. Super censorship at it's finest, aimed for kids to be around in, and as you can guess those servers are pretty barren. The adult servers aren't "mature" as they are "super hardcore porno mature" where nearly everyone runs around naked with piercings, giant dongs, and furries are everywhere.
Wow couldn't get quite as far as adult SL servers, but it could get pretty bad with people trying to prostitute themselves in server for money.
