Dec 11th 2006 12:32PM One thing not mentioned yet is the titles. Although it doesn't give you any stats, no one can EVER get the title Grand Marshal or High Warlord again. Thats pretty cool.

Have you guys checked out the "Looking for More" tab on the LFG interface? There you can see every group that is being formed for the particular instances you select and essential browse them. If you turn of "auto-join" then many of your complaints are solved. The only thing I don't understand is why every instance isn't listed in the boxes. I hope they change that.
Oct 31st 2006 1:24PM whoops, I meant to write "is NOT more interesting . . ." - where's the edit function!
Oct 31st 2006 1:22PM The appeal of the lore in WoW, to me, is not due to the sheer quality of the story or storytelling. Any part of the story is more interesting or more unique than an actual fantasy novel. However, what is unique to Warcraft is that in some sense you can experience and interact with the story. In addition to be able to read about the destruction of Stratholme, you can go there and see it. Or in reverse, you can stumble across something like the Master's Glaive in Darkshore and then read more about what it is. Obviously you can't really "explore" in any other medium.
Oct 4th 2006 12:07AM Matching groups based on gear raises the question: why have good gear? I know everyone hates being pwned by raiders in PVP, but this fix seems too naive to me. In addition, even if everyone has equal gear, you will still be beaten by better players and for must of us, that will be most of the time.
Oct 2nd 2006 6:37PM My guess is that the xp system will work differently from 60-70. Perhaps just rested XP will accumulate slower, but I'm anticipating (and maybe hoping for) a much more drawn out process than the first sixty levels.

Pop Quiz insiders: how do you think they get funding for this site? Likely due to arrangements like this - advertisments for the TCG that happened to be aimed at the perfect targets, nerds like us.
Aug 9th 2006 2:14PM @ MMurdock - How is that kind of inane converstation any different from the conversation your coworkers would be having if they were all interested in sports? "Hey in the X game last night, did you see Team Y beat Team Z? Player Q did that thing that was awesome." Same exact thing. Everyone everywhere is going to have pointless conversations about something. Instead of getting so annoyed, maybe ask them why it is so interesting, or try changing the subject to something you are all interested in.
