Cataclysm to include outdoor heroic 5-man bosses {WoW}

Oct 26th 2010 5:57PM "good natured trash talking"... between guilds... now that would be interesting cuz I feel more likely to hear

"u're guild sucks and u suck unless u join ours and we mean it... qq less and grind more for faster mounds"
"well sorry we didn't know we needed to make a guild solely of pallies to ride around at the fastest speed ever to grief others trying to do world content"
"Up yours dude."
"It's exit only f**"
"Well maybe your mom..."
*Alliance in the area flag themselves*

Well, you know how that goes.

"Oh what is this, middle school? Yo momma jokes really?"
3rd party "I'd tank her"
*Alliance start training mobs into the area*

"Shut up and level"
"I play for fun. I'm not all omgI'msuperleet that I feel like rushing to do content that's gonna be nerfed later and gear that'll eventually be handed out for free."
"You mad?"
*Deathwing emotes*
"No. I really don't care."
/whois Thistard lvl 18 hunter Guild: "Do It While It's Hard"
"Sounds like qq to me."
*nerd rage*
*enter the trolls:
"I bet he's a resto hunter."
"He sounds washed up"
"Thus the guild name..."

*commotion breaks out between guilds and leveling lowbies*
*sensible leave general chat, or jump on the boss, down it, loot it, and hearth*
*some older players tell the fighters to grow up in a video game world*
*some younger players get kicked off by angry eagle eye parents who write to Blizzard about the horrors of this one encounter claiming it happens frequently*
*Innocent rogues with names similar to the instigators get reported and banned
*Deathwing chuckles*

WoW Mountain Dew ad was directed by Tarsem Singh {WoW}

Jun 30th 2009 10:17PM If you had an audience of 11.5 million people that would recognize your product immediately on it's first commercial run, it wouldn't be wise to make its scope much larger imo. Given the places where the ad will be run, the audience numbers are significantly less until you bring the internet into play.

In either case, the feedback from this video will be exactly what they need to "test the waters". I expect better details and effort in the future. See, now they know that we're watching even if we don't care for it. The odds of us watching the next are incredibly high. Our curiosity concerning how this all might pan out leaves them open to make a an incredible impact.

If they don't follow up with a solid production within the first few videos then I can see this fading out by the end of the fall.

In other news, I had the blue one and it's pretty good. I'm not a big mountain due fan but it's alright. The 'Fuel' part of it is misleading. It's just blue Mtn Dew with a chick on the front. There's nothing really 'energizing' about it. They're going to have a hard time topping my gamer drink of choice: RUM. It's not energizing either but it at least makes things interesting.

May 26th 2009 11:37PM haha @ "first". Reminds me of a challenged loved one coming in 5th place excited that he "won"...

[1.Local]: To agree, to disagree, or to agree to disagree {WoW}

May 10th 2009 9:54PM Blizzard should totally turn old world instances into something queuable like they do with the BG's. Instead of scrounging for players on your realm, maybe they could reach across the battlegroup.

Man that would bring the that old content alive and keep it bustling.

Zarkmark tries to help you rate PuG players {WoW}

Apr 16th 2009 10:52PM It would take a special community of people to rate the players. A community that would soon be over whelmed by the task of rating so many players.

The game would definitely have to have something built in like this:

Per account you can only rate a person Up, Down, or not at all. You can only rate them once per account. (what's the mod that shares your friends across alts? Yeah, something like that) You can't bump them up multiple times or down multiple times. So if they're rated down by you and they do something decent, you can rate them neutral/eventually positive.

Built in will have to be some kind of formula that says, "ok. this guy reported 15 people in 5 minutes." and negatively effect the reporter's rating because it's not often that you come across everyone that's absolutely worthy of a bad comment. In most cases, 3 or 4 people can take care of all the ignorance for the rest of the people that may be accompanying them in which case a guild rating could be considered (though that could get ugly).

Just something to think about. Most people in this community are pretty insightful, I'm sure Wowinsider folks could come up with something along these lines.
