Jul 29th 2009 3:15PM interesting idea but the point of rage (like mana, runic power, energy etc) is to be a resource for us to manage as we use our abilities, and this sounds more like making rage to be more like a buff/debuff trade off- giving certain perks for having lots of rage (the higher crit chance) while debuffing with the lower attack speed. Again interesting idea but misses the entire point of what rage is supposed to be - the warriors resource for our abilities.
Although i do like the idea of it naturally increasing overtime in a fight.
Jul 25th 2009 3:53PM "Perhaps the change is that, in Lich King, Warriors are treated as a hybrid class while in the original game and Burning Crusade they were designed as a pure DPS class"
I'm sorry but in vanilla wow, BC and Wrath dps warriors ARE PART OF THE HYBRID MIX, warriors are meant (and have been from the beginning) to TANK. We are a tanking class, and being able to dps was just something that we started doing like any other class that can fill MORE THAN ONE role. While i do agree with many problems with the rage mechanic- let's not forget that the Warriors role has been to TANK, we were NEVER designed to be a pure dps class, if we were we would never have had the Protection tree to begin with.
Jul 19th 2009 5:21PM I think you completely ignored the biggest problem with the whole efficient healing vs overhealing: Healing meters. Whenever I raid on my resto shaman I'm never on the top of the healing meters simply cause us shamans aren't really for nuking and we've got a wide range of spells to heal efficiently. BUT, when our raid leader (a holy paladin) posts up the healing charts and starts asking whats going on with the "low" healing numbers I get pissed off, and I'm not the only healer in our guild feeling this way. I wouldn't have a problem with healing meters and overhealing (i mean as long as we down the boss without people dying and in an efficient manner as a team right?) but too many overhealers like to boast of their numbers as a tool to show how much more a superior healer they are than the rest of us.
The problem isn't whether you're overhealing as much as if your overhealing just to simply "beat" the other healers and keep your "healing numbers" on top. It's just stupid and it's the main reason I switched to enhancement for raiding. I just don't want to deal with this bull crap anymore.
May 1st 2009 2:50PM you do realize 80% of all gamers are single males and that in fact most of the female toons in-game are played by males.
just food for thought
