Why is Blizzard still OK with gender inequality in World of Warcraft? {WoW}

Apr 3rd 2012 4:32PM Somebody has forgotten that this is a fantasy based mmo computer GAME. This is not the real world and yes, unfortunately, certain aspects of things we dislike in the "Real" world is incorporated into this "fantasy" world. Any sexism that anybody runs into on vent or from a live person is not because of World of Warcraft it is because of bad upbringing. Perhaps it has something to do with the the large number of college men that plays this game. You want to deal with sexism? Then stop trying to eradicate it from a fantasy computer game, and instead petition Colleges and Universities to educate their student body on the rampant sexual assault/harassment situations that about 60% of college women experiences on campuses and college related events across the US.

The last gasp of 25-man raiding {WoW}

Feb 24th 2012 4:07PM I am sure in a perfect world, 25 mans would be a dream to run in. However this is not a perfect world and everyone in wow has their own priorities set when it comes to raiding. The bottom line is this: it is far easier (and enjoyable) to find 9 other good raiders to raid with than 24. I raided 25 man throughout Wrath and I made far more progress with 10 man raiding in Cata than 25 man raiding in Wrath. Making the loot equal in iLvL was probably one of the best decisions Blizzard made.

The last gasp of 25-man raiding {WoW}

Feb 24th 2012 3:34PM I think what is being overlooked in this whole situation is the main reason why 10 man raiding is so prevalent is that it is the preferred raiding method for most people. The only reason why I raided 25 man was for the better loot. I hated how long it took to get the raid started, how long it took for people to reform up after a wipe, the afkers, etc. when I raided 25 man. 10 mans are great. For me the fellowship is better, the recruiting easier, and the scheduling is smoother. Everything is easily manageable which leaves more time to enjoy what I love the most about WoW, the raiding.

New Outbound Servers {AOL Postmaster Blog}

Apr 28th 2011 4:10PM Its crazy that a company such as AOL refuses to work with outside ISPs to get legitimate mail sent to their users. I am advising my clients that use AOL to switch to other providers.

New Outbound Servers {AOL Postmaster Blog}

Apr 28th 2011 10:52AM I have the same problem. Retired an old server and we are moving clients to a new server/ip, only to come and find out that the new IP address is being blocked. I know it is due to not having built up an IP reputation but how in the world can it do that if you are going to block it? Filling out forms is not getting me anywhere either. Gotta love the response time of an ISP that is responsible for millions of email addresses.

Breakfast Topic: Do your kids play WoW with you? {WoW}

Apr 23rd 2011 2:17PM I have 6 children, all of whom play wow. I am the GL of Carpe Draco on the Eldre'Thalas server. The oldest is 15. Four of my children are on our progression raiding team and they are as good as any 'leet raider I have raided with in the past. For us we believe: "The family that raids together, stays together".
