The Queue: Hard (Stone)core {WoW}

Sep 26th 2010 7:59PM I have a question... a few months back, Blizzard had talked about applying the Tol Barad design for faction balance to Wintergrasp. But that hasn't happened yet. People on imbalanced servers (Thrall, where Horde:Alliance ratio is like 5:1) are kind of hosed if they want to get all of the WG achievements. With Cata coming out in a few months, we're running out of time to enjoy a balanced WG! Have they applied the changes on the beta server?

Class Q&A: Druid {WoW}

Jul 15th 2009 9:40AM Just a quick comment that mages effectively have 4 specs as well, tho clearly they aren't anywhere near as versatile as Druids.

Should every class be a hybrid? {WoW}

May 1st 2009 5:37PM For a long time I've been advocating for mages to get a "Tenser's Transformation" type of spell to allow for tanking. You could do something similar to allow them to heal using the powers of the arcane, or some such. Basically give mages a bar with static abilities for tanking or healing, but that scale based on normal mage stats like spirit, hit, crit, etc.

Or alternately, give us an "arcane form" that allows us to heal our allies by dps-ing them with our traditional abilities. Give our damage a coefficient like +/-25% or whatever and then we just wail on our friends to heal them. =D
