Dec 7th 2010 10:55AM I'll probably be playing alt(s).
I'm returning to the game after a couple month hiatus, and my main's on a server I want to xfer off of once I have the $. Not sure if I have even the desire to play her until I do that, so I may just play a toon I'd already re-rolled on new server, or start another.
I feel so unprepared for this.
Oct 14th 2010 1:25AM Oh my god. Just, no. It's not cute, at all.
Glad I don't play my druid anymore, I guess this is one less alt option I have to worry about, then.
Oct 10th 2010 6:51PM Also, someone on the first page mentioned paladins being self-sufficient, and I have to say that's definitely a big thing for me. I'm that way IRL (independent, only child) and one of the reasons I rolled a pally was so that I could solo things that were difficult for some other classes (ie my priest who was my main before that).
Oct 10th 2010 4:02PM Goblin! I have 2 accounts (so character slots aren't really an obstacle), and will be swapping a banker or two over to goblin, of course.
I may make a worgen just to experience the starting quests and stuff, and then replace one of my draeni bankers with it. But, I'm a Horde loyalist, so ...
Oct 10th 2010 11:41AM IRL I'm a small/short female, agnostic, kind of cocky/feisty/smart(assed), introverted, and somewhat Vulcan-ish (very logic/mind driven, rarely emotional).
My main is a BE female Ret paladin, which is what I'm totally sticking with because it fits me somehow. My side/off spec is Holy, I don't mind being capable of healing, I am not a 'caretaker' type at all though, so it's not my first choice of role.
Previously I had a Shadow/Holy priest (which would be my 2nd choice) and a couple of druids (1st toon was a NE druid at the suggestion of my ex BF who got me into the game 5 years ago). I'm not hippy-ish at all, but I can respect the druid thing.
I think the paladin appeals to me so much because I can kick ass, and while I'm not at all religious, I am a fairly ethical person, and I do really appreciate all of the paladin 'vibe' and lore.
My shadowpriest represents my closet/inner goth. I like hybrids too much to play a warlock.
Sep 28th 2010 6:25PM There seems to be a filesize limit to the pic as well, and I'm guessing it's under 5 KB. I had issues the 1st time I tried, with one that was 7 KB.
Sep 27th 2010 11:00PM I am loving my ring right now, as I'm working on Loremaster so I can hearth in whichever 'Azeroth' city is appropriate, and still zoom to Dal if needed (usually to port elsewhere..).
Granted, it will suck when it's pretty much useless. Oh well, it was an achievement, and it's gold I've long since replaced a few times over. I do hope they come up with something similar in Cata, though. I like advantages and flexibility.
Sep 26th 2010 10:51PM Do the cloth turn-ins. Start with Ratchet (linen) then it's silk @ Booty Bay, Mageweave @ Gadget and lastly Runecloth @ Everlook. There is spillover rep with each, which is also quite nice.
Then, if you happen to be working on/care about loremaster there may be other quests you can do out of those locations.
BTW, just in case anyone is wondering, the 'honored Bloodsail' and 'Exalted Steamwheedle' do NOT need to be simultaneous.
So, I personally did Bloodsail first and then went to do the turn-ins and now working on Loremaster, and will see how far that gets me.
Good to know they've added more Steamwheedle in Cata, though, just in case!
Sep 23rd 2010 7:23PM I like efficiency.
Would someone with dual monitors, who is used to using Jame's guide (and has a fair bit of the questing scheme memorized) find it worthwhile to try TourGuide, or just stick with 'what works'?
Sep 23rd 2010 7:19PM Yeah a couple months ago I didn't think I was going to do any pre-Cata leveling *really*, but..
1. finished my rogue for Ravenholdt (she was close, just got her to 60 a couple days ago. That's good enough for me).
2. I'm going to xfer servers sometime Soon™, and I'm making a new DK there for a Scribe/Potion Alch to replace the one I'm not bringing with.
3. Profession alts, ones @ 68 currently will need to be 75 in Cata to get the minimum maximum profession benefits. I've not started on these yet, mind.
