Breakfast Topic: Using "IRL," IRL {WoW}

Apr 14th 2010 9:33AM On a recent outting to the grocery store for my wife's shopping list, my daughter (who also plays) and I are roaming the aisles looking for the peanut butter. After strolling for 5-10 minutes I blurt out "WTB Peanut Butter". To which my daughter replys, "Dad....This isn't Trade Chat!"

We LoL'd IRL down the aisles with some exceptionally odd looks from other shoppers.

Maintenance day loot from {WoW}

Mar 16th 2010 9:22AM Maintenance days aren't boring by any means. This is the day I get caught up on WoW news, patch notes, and get those annoying honey-do's out of the way.

Breakfast Topic: Fear is the mind-killer {WoW}

Mar 16th 2010 9:14AM A few things:
I've tanked, dps'd, healed H HoR on every class and found just 1 thing to be true about the place. Target off the tank, get out of LoS until tank has aggro, and when healing, get away from mobs asap after the tank has everything. Oddly, I've had more problems because dps is undergeared and can't get Falric down fast enough and all damage/healing is reduced 90%.

I find it ironic that people that are ToC 10/25 - ICC 10/25 geared qq about how boring the original LK heroics are. I'd like to know how much you loathed those same instances before you became uber geared.

Having just recently started gearing up a feral tank (already having a warrior and pally tank), running chain heroics is teadious enough without some ICC10/25 geared warrior/pally coming in and opening with bladestorm/whirlwind/divine fury without first giving the fresh bear a few seconds to build a little threat. I've already reverted to the notion that if you can't target off me and open with hella can tank it. Ain't my repair bill. :P

World of Warcraft Patch 3.2 Warrior Guide {WoW}

Aug 4th 2009 11:20AM If they want to make block more apealing, they might consider making amount blocked a little more substantial. Blocking ~1.5k damage from an 8k blow seems a little pointless to me. I'd much rather _not_ be hit by it than block it.

Essentially, all they are doing is making tanks of all classes more susceptible to being hit. From the look of the changes they've made to agility/dodge, bears are going to be hit the hardest since the other 3 tanking classes do not rely on agility so much to increase dodge.

To be honest, I'm really not looking forward to the tanking changes, other than the whole paladins will never die ability. :P

With a number of classes generating more and more threat, it seems to me that nerfing a tanks ability to generate threat (which is already hampered for some classes) is not going to be very promising for a number of locks and mages that fall into the "aggro whore" category.

Martin Fury cheat draws Blizzard ire {WoW}

May 7th 2009 10:07AM Through all this hub-bub about the guy that got the item and used it, we are missing a really important issue. That issue is, who sent Karate the item and what is his/her situation.

I'm not arguing the fact that Karate violated the ToS, but without some Blizzard employee screwing up, this wouldn't have happened.

We all know Blizzard, with all the resources they have, can find out where the item came from. What I want to know is, has that person been punished in as harsh a manner as Karate was?

[1.Local]: The theory, debate, controversy and scandal edition {WoW}

May 3rd 2009 12:35PM I don't know, but I think any kind of ban over an item that "they" gave you is rediculous. I would hope that at the very least the individual that sent the item to Karatechop is dealt with as harshly as Karatechop was.
