Dec 31st 2011 11:36PM I'll give the kitten a home. :)
Dec 20th 2011 8:11PM Sure!
Oct 27th 2011 8:18PM Opie, definitely. There's a few that are close, but Opie makes the flood of utility and cooldown buttons manageable.
Aug 9th 2011 12:20PM Too many comments to read through, but remember, there's a quest in Badlands where you save a black dragon egg. I think they're trying to kill off all the corrupted ones and then "regrow" the flight from the good eggs, much like they did with the blue.

Jan 21st 2011 8:46PM Then here's a question: How do you test an encounter that only the best players in the world are likely to see for any reasonable length of time?
Option 1: Internal. Blizz employees test it. Blizz employees are not the best players in the world, so you can't tune around their abilities. Sure, you can take care of some bugs, but they're not going to approach the fight in the same way and so some thing will always get through. That, or you tune it so they can beat it and the top guilds get there and ace it. Boring.
Option 2: Test it with these guilds on the PTR. That's great, except that any guild who gets to do it is clearly being shown favoritism and it's unfair to the rest of the players. No really, ask anyone who wasn't invited to play.
Option 3: Use a bunch of tactics and encounter details that you've used before, only make them more uber/complex/whatever. Incredibly boring and a huge let-down if you've already fought your way to this super elite boss. No one is happy.
Option 4: You set up the encounter as best you can and hope. Then you watch while these guys make their attempts and correct as you go. Not the best option, and probably frustrating for a lot of people, but at least it's fair.
This is the challenge Blizzard faces. If you can constructively offer a better solution I'm sure they'd love to hear it. But remember, you have to construct a difficult and interesting encounter for people who play much better than you and not show favoritism by allowing a select group of people a preview. Good luck.
Jan 19th 2011 12:07PM The Tol Barad counter only seems to apply to the quests done in the Tol Barad battle zone. The ones on the peninsula do not count.
