Breakfast Topic: Do you have a crush on a minor NPC? {WoW}

Feb 16th 2012 9:05AM There once was an auctioneer named Jaxon,
whose appeal was quite clearly cross-faction.
Love might be in the air,
but I warn you - take care!
Hands off unless you want PvP action.

The OverAchiever: Help update our list of evil achievements {WoW}

Feb 11th 2012 12:14PM Wrecking Ball is one of those achievements which is really easy to get in low level play, and gets progressively more difficult as you level up. Same with Iron Man,

This is something I wish I'd known before I leveled a main - getting PvP achievements at low levels is almost always the best way to do them. Even just leveling through PvP will help you get a lot of them. Locking your XP frequently is a good strategy if you're chasing these achievements. So is playing with friends. :)

Feb 11th 2012 12:09PM Yes, this is an important point to make. It's a bit easier to get now. Resilient Victory is more difficult because of the 500/1600 vs 500/2000 issue, but I see it happen with premades often enough that it's not really that hard with the right group. (Solo, it's hard.)

Feb 11th 2012 12:04PM Justicar/Conqueror is one of the few achievements which is getting progressively harder to accomplish. I think it should be moved up in the list, perhaps even past SoHK.

In 4.2, Arathi Basin reputation received a 40% nerf, bringing the number of wins required for Exalted to 700 wins, up from 280 before Wrath. You're realistically looking at about 1000 AB and 600-700 WSG matches to get these reps up. Not to mention that you can't spend all your time in there at level 85, or your gear *will* go stale.

I wrote this up further at http://cynwise.wordpress.com/2012/01/30/the-problems-of-pvp-reputation-grinds-in-cataclysm/, and I think there should be serious consideration for the 4.3 Justicar/Conqueror taking the number 1 spot away from the 4.3 Insane. It is *that* bad of a rep grind.

And to all of you PvPers out there getting this title now, I /salute you.

Blood Pact: How Mists of Pandaria will fix warlock PvP {WoW}

Jan 16th 2012 10:18PM Demon Armor is better when you have a healer or are getting trained by melee. Fel Armor is better when you are trying to burn something down and don't have healer support.

Generally, it's Demon Armor in Arenas and Fel Armor in BGs, but learn to switch between the two as necessary.

Breakfast Topic: What's your naming methodology? {WoW}

Jan 9th 2012 11:35AM I could get behind this convention. Then again, you can spot my alts a mile away, I need a new way to hide my twinks. :)

Breakfast Topic: What's your naming methodology? {WoW}

Jan 9th 2012 10:20AM Personally, I'm changing all my character's names to variations on Dottymcdotface.

That picture is full of win.

How to transmogrify your mail wearer into a glimmering gladiator {WoW}

Dec 29th 2011 2:27PM Thorbia's Gauntlets are BiS for level 19 twink Warriors and Pallys. Expect to pay a lot for them if you have an active 19s twink culture on your server.

Burning Crusade weapon models 'mogged the most {WoW}

Dec 28th 2011 1:44PM The Brutal gear is cheap and looks great, but I'd bet money that if the level 60 PvP gear was available for mogging, it would beat out the BC-era weapons.

Notice that while the S1-S3 weapons are available for purchase again, they're not well represented because they're (relatively) expensive.
