Drama Mamas: Tank frustration {WoW}

Aug 27th 2010 1:40PM In my battlegroup, in pugs, the role you are there as, tends to have priority over loot, its considered polite in my battle group to ask if you can need for off-spec. I know some people feel if you can use it need it, but my response is if you want tank gear, then pony up and tank the instance. I don't roll on dps gear while tanking and I would like others to not roll on tank gear while dpsing.

Black heart comes to mind, as other trinkets that people like to grab.

Drama Mamas: When the boot feels like Das Boot {WoW}

Jan 29th 2010 10:49AM Only anecdotal from what I have seen in my low level runs.(been leveling 3 alts :)

And sorry I was looking more for just results from those who are espousing this to their results. what has been the response from those runs where this was used? I think that would be an interesting article for the future. Again this would always be anecdotal, dependent on the battleground and the time of day, and sample size.

I could have worded this better but what I was looking for, is I would love something that made this better, I mean personally I have many BOA items so it does not phase me much, but in a BRD group and a cloth item dropped, all hit need, the shammy got it(resto) but the mage can only use cloth, he asked for it, the shammy was like no its mine, and made the comment(its not like we are raiding), and drama ensued to the point in the trash leading up to big rock dude, the mage pulled a bunch of trash (25 total) which was more than my bear tank could handle, even with regen/last stand/barkskin what have you,(then a wipe) . Mage goes, good thing we are not raiding and drops group.

More I was looking for validation that this worked, I want something to work so we can all have nice clean fun runs, from what I have experienced this does not work. I love your articles and your advice, just seems to be lots of folks that disagree, I imagine that there is some way to resolve this, (and I admit I do not have that answer)

Jan 29th 2010 9:51AM Why do you all persist in what seems like bad advice about needing everything, it causes more drama, with folks, people standing in instances, demanding things to be traded, and not moving until they get items. I continue to think this is bad advice, as it causes more drama from what I have seen than reduces. How about, something cleared, need on what you need, if its not your highest armor wait for others before needing, and do not take it from them, or something.

Do you have any data to back up that this reduces drama?

Breakfast Topic: Your random dungeon experiences {WoW}

Dec 14th 2009 9:23AM For running heroic dungeons, so far has been really good, easy to keep going if someone dcs and easy to get a group when you say got 3 guildies and you want to run some dungeons.

Now for classic dungeons? I have had good bad and middle.

Some of the folks that sign up for dual roles yet have no idea how to do either, Pally tank with no righteous fury and no shield, healer with no intellect gear and no talents into resto.

They did alright, I was running in the 20-30 bracket so I know its not to much differentiation now, but at least be ready to do what you need to

The things that irritate me in the low levels are
People attacking which ever target they want,
People pulling for me and not letting me pull even after being asked not to
people running whichever way they want and ooming the healer

Now also seen people being jerks for no other reason than to be a jerk, I am tanking on both my lowbies, so I zone in and for those who are new, I say I will be your tank today, please attack my target, and if you pull aggro please run towards me and not away. The first response was F u, and then the other one laffing about that.

All in all, been lots of fun, and enjoyed running the dungeons for lower levels instead of being run through them, getting the new gear, and leveling super fast.
