Dec 25th 2011 7:45PM North America For Me!
Dec 2nd 2011 3:47PM I thought Blizzard's needed more voice overs and I think the fan's had too many. Somewhere in the middle would have been perfect for me.

I'm a partially deaf player and have had much trouble with both guilds and PUGs due to my difficulty with voice chat. When I first read about LFR I thought it would be great and somehow jumped to the conclusion it would be like random 5-mans. So far I've been kicked twice over vent issues and have yet to see a boss. So I agree - Groups will expect everyone to be voice chat ready.
Oct 4th 2010 11:57AM Don't get me wrong, it's a good video, but isn't it a little old?
Aug 16th 2010 3:54PM At this point I'm probably a little jaded, so maybe I'm not the best person to give advice. Whenever I'm passed over or removed due to a "vent-problem", I just tell myself that I probably don't want to play with those *!%@$ anyway. It hurts, but I haven't found a way around it just yet. The truth is that I just like to play. I don't even need to like my fellow raid members to enjoy the game. I just need to find raid members that don't care about vent.
As much as I like endgame, I tend to level new toons, master the AH, or find heroic 5-mans to solo (I'm going to actually finish one eventually).
Aug 16th 2010 3:07PM I feel terrible for this druid. People really piss me off with their attitudes in WOW sometimes.
I understand why people like Vent, but for some people it’s a hurdle. I have a documented hearing impairment. I can hold a face-to-face conversation just fine, assuming there is no background noise that is. I can even listen to music with noise-canceling headphones. I can talk on the phone if I go into a quiet room. But Vent is just too harsh. Too many people talking, too much background noise, and too low of quality. I mostly hear white noise. I get the occasional word or phrase, but not nearly enough to rely on it as a primary source of communication.
I'm currently guildless and generally PUG-less as well. Most guilds don't even want to give you a trail run when you answer "no" to the application question asking if you use vent. You can add all the explanations you wish, but the truth is that it doesn't seem to matter. Guilds seem to want to take the easy way out and take someone else.
PUGs are even worse. I've been kicked for saying that I can't use vent. People have called me a liar when I tell them I can't hear. They say I'm lazy for not wanting to log in. I've logged in to vent just so people would let me raid, but then I've been kicked for not responding to verbal commands. It’s a double-edged sword. People like to pretend they are tolerant, but the ignorant seem to far exceed those whom aren't, especially in WOW.
I get sick to my stomach when I read something like this. I wish people would stop being a-holes and recognize that it’s a game.
Jan 8th 2010 9:40AM I thought it wouldn't let you roll for the hilt if you already completed the quest. Anyone?
