Breakfast Topic: Most emotional boss encounter? {WoW}

Sep 1st 2009 2:47PM Having started playing WOW with the release of WOTLK my raiding carrear has been pretty short, but that doesn't mean that it hasn't been memorable for me.

The first time i stepped into Sapphirons Lair in naxxramas, i didnt even realise it was a boss room.... until the bones began to swirl, eventually forming that of a giant frostwyrm. I thought that animation was simply epic, and it is still the boss i enjoy most in that raid.

Downing malygos for the first time felt like a huge acheivement. Having enjoyed the quest line in coldarra and reading around all the lore behind our fallen hero keristraza, seeing malygos go down felt huge, finally the corrupted tyrant is dead! Alexstraza's speech at the end did leave me slightly sorrowful, having known malygos's history. But this event felt like it really brought the heroes of Azeroth closer to the Red dragonflight. Every time i go to the Wrymrest Temple i never forget to /kneel before her =D

Recently Thorim has been a "wall" to our 10 man raiding group, but we finally broke through it. Again, the epic questline in Storm peaks, made me enjoy this fight so much, each wipe we got closer and closer to freeing poor deluded thorim from yogg sarons influence, thorim finally you will know the truth!

All in all, i have loved the raiding experience in WOTLK, although i have nothing to compare it to =D

WoW, Casually: A casual BlizzCon and what the future holds for us {WoW}

Sep 1st 2009 2:38PM Regarding "Cross-Faction LFG channel":

This i am very excited about. I try and get pugs together a lot, weather it be for the daily heroic, or a quick VOA or OS 10 man. however getting a pug together relies almost entirely on spamming the trade channel and asking around my friends list, as people dont ever seem to use the LFG interface.

9 times out of 10 if there ever is anyone in LFG, i'l send them a whisper saying "hey wanna come do X instance?" and they are AFK or simply don't respond.

Im looking forward to see a full LFG channel in 3.3!!!

Breakfast Topic: Your best instance run ever {WoW}

Jul 30th 2009 8:18AM Last week in ulduar 10 myself and my guild got to thorim for the first time.
None of us had done the fight before, i was chosen to dps down the hallway. Basically, the arena group got swamped with adds, so what happened to us?

Flattened by thorims massive bowling ball made of lightning! WOOT!

thanks blizzard for the best death in the game, i laugh everytime i see it! =D

Breakfast topic: Are manually extended raid lockouts a good thing? {WoW}

Jul 21st 2009 8:48AM These extended raid lockouts are going to be an absolute blessing for my guild! We are currently in 10 man ulduar, and spend 2 nights a week in there. Everyone in my guild has very busy Real Life schedules, so 2 nights is about all we can do per week. The best we have done in 2 nights so far is, Flame, XT, Razorscale, Ignis, Iron council, Kologarn, Auryia, Hodir. All of the bosses after these are alien to us, and wee need to to work on them if were gonna get through the place.
Bring on patch 3.2!!!
