Jun 13th 2011 9:26AM My character (an Orc Shaman) is named Shockeye. I absolutely had to get him the Chef title.
Mar 1st 2011 7:16PM I use Telluric Currents and can't imagine being without it, despite the highly situational usage. Focused Insight is too clunky to use and for 3 talent points isn't a great investment. Already we rely on a lot of build up and maintenance and while the notion of using a shock is not far-fetched, it is an extra GCD and button push towards the goal of just casting a healing spell. Riptide+Shock+UE+Heal Spell is extremely awkward and that's 3 seconds and three key presses lead up to one heal which is a bit much.
Mar 1st 2011 11:29AM I would do anything for the Family Truckster mount! Generally I really don't like the mounts in WoW, especially the fliers, but if I could get a Family Truckster I'd be all over that.
Feb 10th 2011 9:16AM I realise I'm in the distinct minority and will probably be down-voted for my opinion, but I think the change was appropriate.
The Exalted title is to indicate that the player is Exalted with a large number of factions, having a very high "popularity" and prestige amongst a very significant portion of the factions and peoples that make up the world of Azeroth. With Cataclysm introducing a number of new factions, thus increasing the total number of them in the game, the 40 marker for the old Exalted title became a lower percentage amount and thus the character really was no longer that prestigious amongst a significant majority of factions as well as making it easier to get which really is counter to what the title means.
Increasing the requirement maintains that prestigious import that The Exalted title indicates and possesses.
Feb 9th 2011 11:25AM I completely agree with Jackwraith, the lack of a useful CD is very detrimental to us. A Ret Paladin that's on the ball can save a person more effectively than a Resto Shaman and that is simply bad design right there.
A lot of people are tending to reference Paladins when talking about Resto Shaman and I don't think that's simply because it's a trend, but because there's a real issue at hand. Paladins excel at every role they have access to, yet Shaman are heavily sub par by comparison. It seems that Paladins are exempt from the Hybrid Tax and Shaman are paying it in full with criminal interest rates.
Jan 26th 2011 8:51AM While the game has seen many improvements, there are a few of what I call "game changers", things that have improved the game so much when one looks back one thinks "how did we manage before?".
1) Dungeon Finder
2) Dual Spec
I suspect Reforging will join that list as well as we progress through Cataclysm. I purposefully rank the Dungeon Finder as the biggest and best improvement though. When I play another MMO that doesn't have such a feature, it's a massive inconvenience and irritation that reminds me of the "bad old days" WoW (not they they were bad in general, just in regards to having to find groups for 5 mans and group quests).
Jan 24th 2011 9:29AM I can't say I'm proud of any of my Achievements really. They don't really matter a whole lot to be honest and I'm not an Achievement-chaser.
I guess if I were to rank them somehow I find the reputation ones "worth" the most as they required an investment of time vs luck or gaming some encounter gimmick, but really, I'm ambivalent to them all. I'm also not obsessed with mounts so the ones that give mounts don't get me all excited (if there were an achievement that gave a cool-looking mount I may feel differently, but then all the dragons, drakes and so forth are arse-ugly).
Jan 19th 2011 10:04AM @Crimson - Regarding your choice between the 316 mail and the heroic leather, remember that when wearing all mail your Intellect is boosted by 5%. So that's a huge boost over just the stats of that individual gear piece. You are far better off wearing lower ilevel mail to keep the Mail Specialization bonus than going to higher ilevel spell leather.
