Breakfast Topic: When is it too much WoW? {WoW}

Jan 2nd 2010 9:02AM Also, never quit WoW after 4 years of playing. If I stop playing it's for about a day (although due to real life I sometimes have to stop playing for up to a week).

Jan 2nd 2010 9:00AM If I play WoW for a long period of time I just get tired of it, so I do something else for a while. Or play on another character...

Breakfast Topic: How did you start WoW? {WoW}

Dec 20th 2009 11:42PM About 4 years ago I was playing Diablo II, and I remember thinking about what Diablo III might be like. I didn't know it then, but I was imagining an mmorpg. Back then I had only heard a bit about WoW, all of it bad (and very inaccurate). Then my half brother got it for me for christmas, and as soon as read the manual I was hooked (I was at my grandparents, so all I could do was read and reread it many, many times). I think it was about a year later that he got it for himself too.

Dec 20th 2009 11:31PM I'd also like to point out that depending on your level you get put into "upper" brd or "lower" brd. The only difference being the end boss you need to kill for your reward. Since I wasn't a high enough level for the upper version to be available, we were doing the lower version. And as I've already said, we completed the entire thing. Technically I wasn't even allowed to queue for the last bosses, but we killed them anyway.

Dec 19th 2009 1:45PM I decided I wanted to try out some healing on my paladin alt, so I tried a familiar dungeon first (ZF), then a random dungeon. I ended up in blackrock depths, the largest 5 man in the game, for my first time ever and second time healing ever (if you discount healing RFC a couple of years ago).

I am so thankful I got a good group. One or two bosses were already dead and for all I know we missed a couple, but we still managed to kill a hell of a lot of bosses. It was huge, and we got lost a few times and there was an occasional wipe (but never more than once from the same cause). We didn't have to kill the end boss to get our dungeon finder loot, but we kept on going anyway. The only problem we had was right at the end before the last boss when someone left, but luckily we managed to get an 80 in to finish it for us.

Lots of fun was had, so thanks to those in my group for BRD on the battlegroup Cyclone EU last week. I may have got about 4 hours sleep that night, but I managed to stop myself falling asleep long enough to try bubble hearthing from the lava with a fellow paladin. I messed it up, but I was laughing so much. :D

Dec 17th 2009 6:36PM Weren't the Arrakoa trying to summon something that looked like an Old God in Shadowmoon Valley?

Not sure why Draenor would be exactly the same as Azeroth anyway though.

WoW Rookie: Gearing up with the LFG feature {WoW}

Dec 16th 2009 4:28PM It's even awesome at low levels. At level 50 it took me seconds to get into a group (as a healer). I really pity the pure dps or those that can't afford/don't want to get dual spec.
