Jul 7th 2010 12:45PM So basically Blizzard haven't got enough time to finish adding new and unique talents to the trees, now they have pulled all the boring talents out, so now they are reducing our numbers of talent points. The minimum 31 points in your main talent trees, will mean even more cookie cutter talent builds, as everyone will build their characters almost exactly the same. No more tri-spec builds.
Was yesterdays Real Name on forums bombshell intended to bury this news?
This might work well but it sounds like simplification of the trees to me.
Feb 28th 2010 4:35PM Ideally I would like to see Scholo and Stratholme Heroic instances. Primarily to relive the level 60 experience from a few years back. Both are awesome instances with a cool theme. Strat has great pacing between bosses. Scholo not so much but it is a difficult instance (remember mobs running at low health into other packs). However both are unlikely as they don't fit very well with the Cataclysm theme.
BRD might come back (I am a big fan of this instance), but again its unlikely because a new Blackrock 5 man has already been announced as well as what sounds like a mini Blackrock Raid. It would also require so many changes to it (such as split into wings) it essentially wouldn't be the same instance anyway.
The Stormwind and Orgrimmar instances won't be redone as the effort, would exclude half the games population.
I would say most likely is Blackfathom Depths (which has alright pacing bar the trash before the last two bosses) due to the Twilight Cultists theme,
Feb 25th 2010 12:32PM I would like to see a feedback system in WoW after you finish each dungeon. You can give each person a thumbs up or a thumbs down or no feedback at all. That would provide blizzard with far more useful information than what they are getting currently. For example are Paladin tanks getting worse feedback for their performance than Death Knight tanks, which class healers are consistently get bad feedback.
In addition it shows Blizzard which players are terribad, and can try to determine why, and which players are vocal about giving people bad feedback.
Feb 14th 2010 5:22PM Well today I've been powering through the lunar festival achievements (or at least the ones I didn't do last year) All I have left now are the elders in Utguarde Pinnacle, Ajol'Nerub, Gundrak and Draktharon Keep. So far it's all been solo work, but I tried getting past the watchers in Ajol'nerub and the web wrap combined with poisons meant I was almost dead after the first watcher. Don't think thats soloable. Will try Gundrak tommorow now the Elder has moved.
I don't think I will be able to get past the lich in DTK due to having to handle the stairs mobs as well as the adds he summons.
It won't be possible to get past the first boss in UP solo due to the sword sacrifice at 50%. So those 3 will definetly need a group.
Feb 12th 2010 1:37PM Whats wrong with running the raid instance repeatedly until your guilds gear level increases? Eventually you will beat those bosses. Thats the way the game has always worked.
Why do modern guilds think they have the right to one shot bosses after two weeks of trying them? Ragnaros took my guild 8 weeks to kill. Razorgore took another 4. Vaelstraz took a few more weeks again.
Feb 5th 2010 7:18PM I think its highly unlikely that Ensidia's rogue that was using Seaforium charges didn't notice that the plaforms would reappear only when he was using an ability that can only be used once a minute. Was the damage to the platforms that actually restored the platforms in the combat log? If so they should have picked it up.
We won't ever know whether the kill strategy was formed around the bug or whether they were using a standard strategy bar the repopping platforms until Ensidia show us the video of the fight.
Dec 30th 2009 8:49AM As a tank I have always found the Lich King encounter easy compared to the nightmare that is Falric & Marwan (or rather their trash).
It doesn't need to be exploited. Blizzard need to make any undead target Jaina when they spawn, and its up to your party to distract them. That way your party will have to be infront of the Lich King to complete it correctly.
It's exciting to see the Lich King one shot someone in your party as you hug the wall to the side of him while you desperately try to finish the final abomination.
Oct 7th 2009 3:43PM Hey remember PreTBC when badges didn't exist and it was near impossible to have two well geared characters. Those days are over. The current badge system is great for those who have alts, and great for new players, and shouldn't hurt the raiders as their gear will always be a tier ahead of the casual badge using players. After all the raids are designed for the masses to play, and the heroic modes for the more serious guilds to get the best possible loot.
Sep 30th 2009 4:32PM Sylvanas is the faction leader of the Forsaken, Jaina is merely a boss mob that sits in a tower in Theramore. For that reason Sylvanas isn't likely to die but Jaina doesn't have faction reason for surviving.
I think its likely that Jaina could die in the 5 man. Without Arthas around, her only reason for being storywise, is as a love interest for Thrall and to stand in the way of a war that Blizzard seem set on starting (e.g. Garrosh's role in Cataclysm, and the return of Wrynn). With Jaina out of the way, Thrall is the only thing stopping an all out war between the Horde and the Alliance, and he won't be around for much longer either.
