Apr 26th 2011 5:34PM Agree with Kaethsh 100%. Zul Aman was nowhere near the level Karazhan was. The only thing that kept my guild going back there was the lure of the warbear. Once it was removed, the whole thing was dropped like a hot potato.

The dying Hunter? {WoW}

I'm sorry - that's just rubbish.

All players, regardless of the characters they have created, had the opportunity to create a hero class. At the time the Death Knight came out, I had a 70 Hunter, 70 mage, 70 Warrior and 70 Warlock.

I levelled them all equally and it was hard to say which was my main, as they all provided me with something different. In levelling them through BC content, I actually found the Warlock the easiest of them all to level. The mage was destructive, but fragile, the Warrior was tough, but slow to kill. The hunter? He was just fun. Very similar to the Warlock - send in your pet, stand back and fire.

I never did see Sunwell, or Mount Hyjal. I wasn't in guilds that got that far. The furthest progression I made was Zul'Aman.

I rolled a Death Knight - because I could - not because I had a Hunter. Or a Warlock, or a Mage, or a Warrior. - That's the point. Anyone who comes out with that lazy generalisation of "All Hunters rolled Death Knights" are wrong. Very, very wrong, and in-game - they are the people I try to avoid the most.

Jul 10th 2009 2:37PM I don't see this as the Hunter class dying, I see, based on the comments in this strand, more and more people becoming fed up with World of Warcraft because every class is just so generic now.

Dual spec has contributed massively towards making all specs more and more generic. The individual specialisations of each class that made them so entirely different are being morphed into three catch-alls - healing, tanking and damage dealing. (Just like the Blizzard "class" forums - perhaps that was an omen).

Generic characters = boring game. Boring game = people pissed off, rolling alts, playing something "different" yet intrinsically the same.

Hunter class isn't dying. The game itself is dying. The BC expansion kept people intrigued for a much longer time than WoTLK. They made the game far too easy, far too generic, and now its just a grind.

Unless you're a Paladin, and then you are in clover.
