Jun 23rd 2011 12:44PM No, he's very correct in that with the amount of heat involved in cooking, almost any germs involved are going to die. The reason to clean anything you cook with, imo, is to prevent getting what's left of one type of food mixed in with another, which isn't much of a problem with a grill, since i doubt there's that much variety. I wouldn't care about getting burger mixed with my burger, but i might care about getting chicken mixed with my pancake.
May 30th 2011 2:31PM But if it activates when there's crying on the forums, that takes all the mystery out of it, because there's ALWAYS crying on the forums.
Feb 13th 2011 4:52PM Yeah, to clarify/confirm that -
From Rise of the Horde's prologue, the Draenei had long ago been given a crystal (presumably by the Naaure) with the generic clarity of thought/meditative purposes, which the Naaru used to contact Velen and get him to flee. While leaving Argus, the K'ure broke the crystal into seven spherical crystals, of which later in the book many are captured by the orcs, and presumably later one made it's way into Mograine's hands.
Feb 13th 2011 4:44PM A lot of great explanation and parallels drawn. But I was always given to understand
that the crystal in the Ashbringer was one of those possessed by the
Draenei on Draenor, taken by the orcs. Of which there were ... seven?
and had originally been ... three? sacred crystals before Velen and
the Draenei fled Sargeras. My recollection is that Velen took them
when he fled and the Naaru split the three into seven, of which this
is one. That's in the prologue of Rise of the Horde, but it's been a
while since I read it. It's just a guess that what Mograine finds was
one of the draenei crystals though.
Sep 9th 2010 3:51PM And you're pretty good at detecting these things, right?
In all seriousness though, I'm not sure you're right. I don't raid right now because I don't enjoy the spam healing that is progression. Once Cata hits and there's more to healing than a mindless game of whack-a-mole, I'm going to go back to it. And I know there are a lot of people who think similarly about that first statement, if not the second. If I had to guess, I'd say tanks will still be the limiting factor just because tanking is a leadership position in the group (especially in pugs) and is by default more stressful.
Aug 21st 2010 4:41PM Because Spriests and Locks can't instantly move backward with no prior planning. Nor do Spriests or (most) mages have a pet to tank for them. And it looks like disengage just got made a lot more convenient, too.
Aug 15th 2010 9:08AM So, if I'm understanding this correctly, Blizzard combined Tranquility (minus the channel time, or am I wrong here?), Power Word: Barrier (with unlimited absorbtion for 15 seconds), a mass Fade (actually, it's worded to look like that's a permanent threat drop), and even a little Blood Presence. That last one I'm most curious about, actually. What happens if that's thrown down against a one-hit complete overkill on a tank? I'm looking at you, Shadow Flame. After all, we will be facing Nefarian again.
So, basically, Holy Priests just got the most badass healer ability this side of ... ever, courtesy of their disc brothers and sisters, druids, and death knights. I don't even play a priest and I want this to last, just to see it in action for myself. Sadly, I can't really see that happening, it's just too awesome, really.
If I've misunderstood any part of this spell, please tell me (It is a bit early in the morning). Now, excuse my while I go level my priest.
Aug 9th 2010 11:11AM Why has WoW.com stopped covering The Guild? They're three episodes into the new season, and I don't think I've heard anything about it here, which is quite a difference from past seasons and even production of this season.
Jul 13th 2010 2:22PM Don't let people from separate zones play together? You realize that this is how many friends who have moved (temporarily or permanently) as well as military personnel spend time with their original guild/friends? Blizzard suggests separating by zone for latency purposes, but they would never require it.
As for your second suggestion ... it's really more effort on Blizzard's part than it's worth, especially when authenticators are such an easier (and really, better) method of protecting players.
Jul 12th 2010 12:54PM The oddness with Tyrande stems from her really wierd background. The Sisters of Elune (of which, according to War of the Ancients, she was a standard member) trained for war with standard weapons - bow, sword, warglaive, etc. That accounts for some of her abilities. Others she possesses due to Elune's favor - Starfall, primarily, which is used by balance druids for the same reason. Lorewise, it would likely be more accurate to say that boomkin are not "casting" starfall, they are more calling upon Elune to intervene and do insane levels of DPS. She (sort of) is to hunters as paladins are to warriors; same basic idea, but add in god-given powers for extra OPness.
She's just one more case where WC3 Abilities were split - the shadow hunter, the tauren chieftain, the watcher, and more all had their abilities distributed to a variety of classes.
