Jul 13th 2009 1:56PM yes, but my point is that with the next patch a GM petition isn't even required, just open a trade window...
Jul 13th 2009 1:49PM Couldn't some of the new features in the next patch help address this? I haven't seen Ulduar, probably never will, so I haven't paid attention to the gear drops in there...
However, using this situation as an example (where a mail piece drops, and pally rolls versus shaman as the item is considered BiS for the pally). If the piece is awarded to the Shaman, and then later on in the raid another mail piece drops (same slot) and it's a better upgrade for the shaman than the original piece (not sure if this could happen, like I said above I haven't paid attention to the gear drops), then the shaman could get the second piece and trade the original piece to the Pally?
"New Dungeon Loot Feature
Players will now be able to trade soulbound items with other raid or group members that were eligible for the loot. This system will work like the Item Buy Back system and allow 2 hours for players to trade an item after it has been looted. Players who choose to enchant or add gems to the item will get one last confirmation before losing the ability to trade the item."
the only way this wouldn't work is if the player who won the piece originally has enchanted / gemed it immediately during the raid...
Jul 2nd 2009 5:58PM I'm guessing it might have something to do with the fact that each account is limited to 1 DK per server (unless I missed a change somewhere), so he'd have to delete his current DK in order to re-roll another race..
at least with every other class, if you want to re-roll to another race you can simply make your previous toon an "alt", with a DK it's a delete.
Jun 30th 2009 6:16PM given that the patch notes state "The cast time for summoning any ground mount is now 1.5 seconds, down from 3 seconds.", only specifying ground mounts, all flying mounts will still require a 3 second cast time..
Jun 10th 2009 6:07PM As per the WoW FAQ for the promo located at http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/faq/mountain-dew.html
How do I get the Battle-Bot Ignition Key?
To claim the Battle-Bot pet, visit the promotion website at www.mountaindewgamefuel.com and follow the instructions there. The exclusive pet is available only between early June and August 20, and you many only claim the Battle-Bot Ignition Key on a World of Warcraft account (either trial or full account) that is tied to a Battle.net account. The account must be in the North American region, which includes the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, and Singapore.
per the last line, Canada is included in the promo for the battle-bot key. However, for the Mountain Dew contest itself, it's for US residents only.
Jun 10th 2009 5:21PM "MVPs on the forums are saying that the pet is also available in Canada, even if the soda promotion isn't, but that may change as well."
I was able to get the pet yesterday, and I am Canadian... unless they restrict this based on the registered account details (billing info), I'm don't see how they could restrict this based on realms alone; as far as I know Canadians log in to US Realms (I don't remember seeing a category of "US Realms")...
Little stupid for them to make this change after people made it through, especially seeing as I'm sure there's a lot of people out there who merged their WoW accounts with Battle.net specifically to get this pet.
Jun 9th 2009 4:34PM the battle bot pet is not only limited to US residents. you don't have to log in to the Game Fuel site to redeem the pet, just have to go to the site and click on the link to get it. it takes you to the Battle.net site, log in and you get the pet.
so it looks like the battle bot pet is available anywhere you can get a battle.net account.
May 15th 2009 6:23PM Yet another contest that you have to be a resident of the US to be eligible to participate in. Wish I'd caught that before registering and sharing all that info with Pepsi.. lol
Would be nice if they could open this up to us WoW players north of the 49th parallel, especially if the Battlebots are indeed the vanity pet.
