Jan 10th 2011 3:45PM I noticed this while working on Archy this weekend. I thought it might have something to do with whether or not I had 'discovered' the entire zone map or not yet.

100% truth. Our small guild worked on this for a couple weeks to get it down. Which pulls to do in what order, etc. When we finally got it and engaged the baron with just moments to spare on the timer, everyone just errupted on vent screaming.
None of us raided so we all just had blues + one or 2 epics (the BoE set pieces from MC). If I'm not mistaken though, there wasn't a cap on how many buffs you have, so we farmed for every little thing that would give us an edge.
Still one of the most rewarding accomplishments that I have done in game.

I play mostly Horde so when I got a Beta invite a friend suggested I start with Worgens since I'd likely not see that content til well after release anyway. The starting zone was fantastic! Very fun and evocative of the whole SFK vibe...and the Worgen just look so cool.
Then I played through the Goblin area, and again, and again...I was doing quests over and over again after finishing them because they were so funny and different from any other starting zone in WoW currently. Seriously, so well done.
This will likely be the first expansion release that I don't rush to level my max level toons first, I'll start a Goblin launch night.
Jun 9th 2010 2:31PM Kylenne hit all the right points on this topic. I've leveled a Druid healer (pre-Dungeon Finder) and a Priest this way.
Pulls will often turn into a scrum, simply because some folks don't know what they're doing yet, the tanks don't have all their tools yet or someone is overeager(why is this disproportionately the hunter?). Just keep your cool and have the tank as your focus target and you should be fine.

I also enjoyed the article, keep it going please.
One minor question: I thought that even if you maxxed out your hit, you still have a 1% chance to miss a mob of equal level. Is that incorrect?

This is interesting but kind of weak in my opinion. Those who have supported the WoW TCG (by buying lots of cards) and thus accumulating a ton of those points, probably already have most of the pets anyway. I can tell you from experience that they will already have more than they need of the consumable items like the Path of Cenarius.
Does anyone happen to know if you can mail the Pet box before you open it? If I could send these as a gift to friends without them having to deal with redeeming and picking up the item that might be worthwhile.
