Aug 9th 2010 2:18PM Iirdan,
You are correct, this isn't necessarily a news site, though I do feel that it tries to fulfill that role, blog or not.
I'm afraid that, despite your association of Frostheim's voice with enthusiasm, I still see an uncomfortable degree of exaggeration and fatalism in some of his previous reactions that pain me greatly, particularly when they stand to influence the reaction of hunters at large to particular changes to our class.
Aug 9th 2010 1:58PM I'll do my best to find an example. It was a poor choice for me to not include one, but I felt that my opinion was justified given how much of Frostheim's work I've consumed in the past. Again, I hope to provide some form of example in the near future.
Aug 9th 2010 1:39PM I marked that the blue posts and hunter news analysis was my least favorite part. My reasoning is because I feel that you - and many in the hunter community - over-dramatize proposed or announced changes, which, rather than propelling the hunter community into maturing ourselves further in our class, causes us to rally against what our class will inevitably be instead of continuing to better ourselves in what we're given.
I also object to many of the analysis posts that you make because of your - and most posts on WoW.com are guilty of this - tendency to try to generalize too much. You and your cohorts on the THP podcast tend to do this as well, and it isn't really appropriate to do so. It honestly makes the podcast a bit intolerable, and the same goes for your Scattered Shots posts. You seem very keen to make generalizations about hunter class mechanics and hunter decision making because it makes your statements more applicable to your entire audience, which is an admirable goal, but makes much of what you say too inaccurate to remain credible, and it's extremely frustrating. There is a precise art to what we do, and I would much rather that we all speak on precise terms when analyzing our class, audience or not.
