WoW Moviewatch: Nub Tales ep 6.1: Real ID {WoW}

Jul 20th 2010 6:52PM You need that person's name before you can find something about them.

There are cases of finding someone without their name, but do you think you are going to find that jackass on the forum's personal info just by their character name? If you put their name up there, it instantly becomes easy.

It's easy to find info on anyone you want with a name or without. Most of the QQ about real names on forums was from people worried about their employer or ex finding them in both cases they already know your name anyway.

Your no "safer" having your name not appear on wow realm forums than you are not. To prove my point a quick google search on a couple random posters character names from my realm forums brought up hits to guild websites along with other sites which gave me their email addy's which in turn led me to facebooks and myspace. Which if i had wanted could have led on to home addresses and phone numbers etc etc.

So again the community would have been better off having less trolls than protecting privacy which you don't really have anyway, shame most people are too dumb and ignorant about how easy it is to find personal info online nowadays to realize that.

WoW Moviewatch: Nub Tales ep 6.1: Real ID {WoW}

Jul 20th 2010 3:21PM They really should have not recanted and kept the real names going on forums. There's tons of other ways to find people without needing to find their name on a wow forums website.

Hell you can look up someone's name on facebook and just view that even if their profile is set to private you can get a good idea if that hire you're looking at is really dependable and trustworthy like they say they are or not. Or you can pay 30 bucks and get someone's name, address, job location, phone number, cell phone number past jobs, spouse name, parents/children's names so on and so on.

Would have been better finally cutting down on the number of trolls than conceding to the "that's my privacy" crowd when in reality if anyone really wants to find someone or info on someone they're nothing but a few mouse clicks, a google search, and maybe a couple dollars away.

Lichborne: Advice on Army of the Dead {WoW}

Jun 27th 2010 4:13PM "I happen to have leveled my first real character to 55."

Grats on being a scrub and getting welfared to 80 and still not knowing wtf you're doing.

This is why DKs have replaced Huntards as captains of the fail train and why DKs get left out of so many pugs unless they have someone to vouch for them that they aren't a complete idiot.

Lichborne: Advice on Army of the Dead {WoW}

Jun 24th 2010 1:20PM Hardly, 12/12 ICC 10 bloodwing cleared ICC 25.

DK tank would be the only non panic time to use AOTD because then it doesn't matter anyway. Nice to know I annoyed all the fail DK's who only took their "main" to 55 and then got welfared to 80.

Typical of the DK class you all have no clue what you're doing.

Lichborne: Advice on Army of the Dead {WoW}

Jun 22nd 2010 10:06PM AOTD should only be used as a panic button. No exceptions

There's no reason whatsoever to summon it on any mob, pack, or boss unless the tank has died or the healer is oom or dead themselves.

There's no benefit at all to having mobs/packs spread out everywhere or having ghouls aggro additional packs/mobs which have to be re-taunted and positioned after ghouls die.

Nor is there any benefit to having the boss spin around wildly killing ghouls that don't give a decent dps boost to begin with.

Any DK casting Aotd outside of a wipe situation should tell you automatically they don't know what they're doing, and earn them a seal of failure award.

Breakfast Topic: Dealing with unpleasant players {WoW}

Jun 9th 2010 7:01PM Hardly. Me not wanting to deal with annoying players and leaving them to die isn't going to change their attitude, and I have yet to see one instance where attempting to talk to them changes anything.

100% of they time all talking does is change their target from being mean to someone else, to being mean to you.

Why waist my "breath" when I can just as easily leave and let them suffer the consequences of their actions in this case, not being able to finish a random, or having to spend some gold repairing their gear.

Breakfast Topic: Dealing with unpleasant players {WoW}

Jun 8th 2010 10:28AM I'm in the same boat as you having just come back to wow after a few months away, I too had to spend time farming heroics to get new gear because thanks to the wonderful gearscore addon (sarcasm) that everyone has decided to use.

I was apparently too low geared upon my return to qualify for tanking instances/raids I had already completed and even obtained the heroic mode achievements for. Go figure.

As a tank i started off nice enough, I would do optional bosses if people asked but ever since they implemented queuing cross server to do random heroics I've turned into an ass about most things.

For example I had the trinket from POS heroic Ick's rotting thumb need rolled by dps who don't even have a tanking offspec they won the roll proceeded to /lol and then left the party the same thing happened twice on the shield from halls of reflection regular.

Aside from the loot ninjas routinely I'm getting whispered im going too fast, or too slow for two different people in the group. Or even more annoying the person i'm going too slow for will often rush ahead and aggro more mobs which usually cause the healer to go oom while trying to keep us all alive resulting in a whipe.

After a few times of this I decided to start abusing my tanking position and privileges people can either shut up and go along with the ride, or enjoy sitting in the q for another 20+ mins while trying to find someone to take my spot with 2-3 bosses already down or if they're particularly annoying enjoy fighting a boss without a tank as i leave the party mid pull.

Breakfast Topic: Dealing with unpleasant players {WoW}

Jun 8th 2010 9:11AM As a tank/healer if a particular group of players are mean or overly annoying I usually either pull a boss and then leave party so that I teleport out of the instance, leaving them to die and wait for a new tank to arrive. Or I simply don't heal them and make sure they leave the run with a hefty repair bill.

Breakfast Topic: Your city is under attack {WoW}

Jun 1st 2010 11:15AM Spam some AOEs or instants, hope to disrupt them. Big whup.

This is exactly what you do in arena's except with a much smaller number of people. Its also exactly what you do in boss fights just in some instances with some added things you have to do in between the AOE spam/instants. IE Kite the big slimes in a circle.

Basically Spamming AOE's and popping instants/cd's is all you do in every fight in wow pvp or otherwise, so if that is so boring why the hell are you still playing?

Jun 1st 2010 11:05AM Garrosh is a true orc and its been time for Thrall to step down for awhile now. Thrall has lost his backbone and has become more and more passive no true horde member, especially no true orc would ever even consider being friendly with the alliance.

Garrosh will make a fine warchief and finally bring a backbone back to Horde politics.
