Apr 12th 2011 9:15AM I've never to my knowledge intentionally left the queue as soon as "Enter Dungeon" pops up. Now I have left after it showed me which one I was going to (side note: I wish it would show you prior to clicking Enter Dungeon, then you wouldn't have to spend the time waiting for it to load and all of that). But now I just don't tank heroics with a full PUG ever. I used to all the time in WOTLK, but not in Cata, even though I'm more than geared (about half 346/half 359). Too many morons who think it's still GoGoGo like it was at the end of WOTLK and won't allow me to build aggro or won't CC or try to pull for me, etc. I'm sorry that you think we should chain pull 3 groups at once and not wait for a pat to move first. Oh wait, that pat pulled 2 more groups and you died? Well it's your fault dumbass who didn't want to wait for the pat. Sigh. So I refuse to do heroics without at least 1 guild member with me. And even then since you only get what 70 VP per day and no VP from bosses, it's pointless to do more than 1 per day once you have all the JP gear you need (or better).
Apr 7th 2011 12:05AM @Firix: No joke, haven't seen it too much in Cata, probably because I basically refuse to do heroics unless I have at least a couple of guildies with me, but in WOTLK if you God forbid you were in normal gear and trying to do heroics to gear up and queued as a tank you had all the impatient DPS (and healers sometimes) with their damn GO-GO-GO mentality that wanted it over as quickly as possible, which is fine I guess, but then to "help" accomplish this, they would AOE like crazy and not let a tank who is gearing up establish threat and then they'd die and get mad at the tank saying they're a "fail tank" or a "bad tank" or any number of expletives and the like. Because a normal-gear tank should be able to out-threat raid geared DPS right? That pissed me off a lot and so I got to the point where I'd only go on guild runs or queue as DPS and only roll on tank gear if the actual tank didn't, eventually I was geared enough.
In Cata, I'm raid geared now, but I did 90% of my heroics in guild groups because of bad attitudes of a large majority of the PUG player base.
Apr 6th 2011 12:00PM In my runs, guild or pug, it goes like this:
Skull: 1st Kill
X/Cross: 2nd Kill
Star: (used to be Sheep before WOTLK), now 3rd Kill, any applicable CC if available
Triangle: 2nd Sheep (if more than 1 mage), else Hex
Square: Freeze/Frost/Ice Trap (or w/e it's called now)
Circle: Any leftover CC, perhaps root if it's a melee mob and we have a druid, or hibernate if a caster and able to be hibernated, etc.
Apr 1st 2011 8:55AM While this cool if true, Rated Battlegrounds themselves are pretty much useless if you don't have a group already formed. Why can't they allow individuals to queue and just assign them a personal rating and ignore the team rating for non pre-made groups. That make them more accessible for the player base as a whole and the people who want do to them but don't have a full group would be able to do them still.
Mar 31st 2011 2:36PM Consolid8 will do that for you, more or less, one you set it up. Here's a link: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/consolid8.aspx
Mar 24th 2011 12:30PM They should remove the BC Heroic Keys also. TBC came out 4 years ago...
Mar 22nd 2011 12:31PM I really think the game could benefit from having NPC tanks for dungeons. Say if you can't get a human tank in 5 minutes or less, then the system automatically assigns you a random NPC tank. This is sort of already in place for certain quests and in Old Strat Arthas sorta tanks trash at times. So it shouldn't be too difficult to fully implement. NPC tanks wouldn't be able to roll on any drops of course because that would be pointless, so any tank drops with an NPC tank would be available for players building their tank set while running under their DPS spec, since a large portion of the LFD player base are douchebags and treat tanks like ****. Or they could just be greeded on or disenchanted. NPC tanks would solve so many problems with LFD that I find it somewhat hard to believe that it hasn't already been done before.
Mar 22nd 2011 8:23AM /agree as well. GB is ridiculously difficult compared to the others.
Mar 15th 2011 11:26AM Wow...just wow...she is mediocre at best. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be rap, pop, techno, or something else. But it sucks whatever it is. What's up with the metal voice sound effects as well? Stupid & pointless, kinda like this comment.
Dec 14th 2010 6:17AM Great they fix one of the sub quests but don't fix the other one. Despawning NPCs suck :(
