WoW Moviewatch: Behind the Raid episode 1 {WoW}

Mar 31st 2012 9:13PM I was a healer in this guilds top progression group until transferring to a higher pop server recently. I saw this video on the guild website and was shocked to see it here. =)

Great job Farg.

Raid Rx: Healing heroic Morchok {WoW}

Feb 6th 2012 12:35AM As a now 4/8 HM holy priest, I can say for sure the first few times you attempt this fight bring 4 healers. The clone side is alot easier to heal so if you don't have a 4th healer, a dps in heal spec throwing a few heals is usually sufficient.

With the 5% buff, or maybe more experience since I have recieved ONE upgrade since our first Morchok heroic kill, I am now able to easily solo heal the clone side as holy. Save those CoH for directly after a crystal explodes. =)

Have reforging demands become too complex? {WoW}

Jan 31st 2012 1:50PM While i believe that the reforging idea had promise, it has become to cumbersome every single time I recieve an upgrade. As someone currently 3/8 HM i do my best to min/max everything, and reforging makes this an even more complex issue.

I think that reforging has allowed blizzard item designers to do less in terms of design. Let me try to explain why I think this.

Back in ICC we had different items for 10/25 man and 10HM/25HM. Each and every piece required multiple stat changes to feel like an upgrade. Now with reforging, they slap one stat on the piece (normal or heroic) and let you customize it. Has even gone as far as gem slots at this point, last couple of tiers we have had different color sockets to play with stats, now it seems "let's slap a red socket on everything" =/

Sure this makes it feel more like you are in control of your gear and stats, but it has gotten way out of hand on the amount of time needed to get things just right, not to mention expensive.

I hope they keep reforging, but it certainly needs some looking into to make it a viable long term addition.

Blue Posts and Other WoW News: The heart of the MoP talent system {WoW}

Jan 21st 2012 12:39AM Basically they are dumbing this part of WoW down to preschool level as they have raiding.

"Players who skip over what we consider mandatory talents today -- like Raging Blow or Hot Streak -- are unintentionally (or maybe even intentionally) gimping themselves, and that's not what we want to have happen. We want players to be able to experience the full power of their class, so we're going to award certain talents straight-out."......so when is Blizz going to start playing our toons as well. They are now telling us how to spec, why not just play them too.

I have avoided complaing about the complete dumbing down of this game since BC, but already nerfing DS after 1 month when LFR was suppose to have prevented this, and now all this linear questing, talent trees being idiot proof. I said I would never join in with the crowd but at this point "this may be the end of WoW for me." Make sure you all order your collectors edition of MoP early to make sure you get the included coloring books and crayons.

Breakfast Topic: Are you ready for more raiding content? {WoW}

Apr 30th 2011 9:42AM While my raid group is currently 12/12 and 4/13 heroic, we would like to see a change of raid environment. We gained 2 new heroic kills this week, and should gain several more in the next few weeks. We prob wont be 13/13 when firelands comes out, but are happy with our progression and ready for the upcoming challenges.

Raid Rx: Best practices for healing heroic Chimaeron {WoW}

Mar 25th 2011 10:04AM As a current 3/13 heroic (halfus, atremedes, Chimaeron) holy priest, we were just able to get this clown down on 10 man last week after many nights of horrible luck. While your write up is 25 man, maybe this will help those doing 10s.

We run Disc, Holy Priest, Druid for our heals. With everyone just inside the 6 yard limit for slimes we keep everyone as close as possible for attonement heals. This really helps us get those people up after slimes. A quick PoH usually is enough to get people over the 10k, if not use a CoH as well, although i usually save the CoH for right at a massacre. A quick PoH, and even a renew (with divine Touch), will even get one up over 10k.

Now, we use a dps dk to soak break stacks, with the MT taking double attacks until the after the first fued phase. As soon as a stack is called, every healer heals the MT to full with their fastest biggest heal, then I (holy priest) start spamming raid with everything i have, while the other 2 keep the MT up. The key is the timing of the tanks CDs here.

After feud the dps dk takes chim again for breaks, and now the OT takes double attacks. Switching tanks taking double attacks always ensures they have enough CDs available for fueds, and a little lighter healing.

Hope this helps some, and good luck to all those working on him.

Raid Rx: Raid healing horror stories that taught us a thing or two {WoW}

Mar 11th 2011 4:44PM As a healer myself, lucky to have received this Trinket early into cata, I use vuhdo as my healing addon. This addon has the ability to auto trigger your own use trinkets everyone CD. Very handy feature considering my other Trinket is the Jar of Ancient Remedies which has an on use effect. I never have to worry about triggering my trinkets. Just be careful while around cc targets, not sure how many I have broke. :-)

Official forum changes, real life names to be displayed {WoW}

Jul 6th 2010 12:29PM Finally. I fully support this change. While I doubt this will completely eliminate the trolling, I feel this is a great step towards reducing the crap on the forums. I just might start reading the forums again.

Now, if they can only do something about the trade chat trolling and gold spammers, chat might be worthwhile again. =)
