I had flashbacks to Robotec (where they first brought out the MDC system) but back then it kind of did not feel as weird because that was human tec being "juiced up" by Robotech (thus Robotec weapons could damage Roboteched objects but normal "SDC" tec was gona get squashed)
Back then a 1-2 MDC shot was no big deal because that was still enough to junk most "light armor" objects like trucks.

you can easily argue that we already have the microtransaction modle in play.
we pay a bundle price in expansions for what in other games you end up paying more for individual "packs" from the FTP games as oposed to paying for each new zone individualy
those "expansion packs" also give us limmited access to additional content after we buy them.

they have already said (repetedly) that EVERYTHING not needed to actualy render the game will be server side this time around, all you get is bascialy a mmo type client, the actual game code is going to sit on the server along with things like your inventory and your characters.

you do realise that according to CCP themselves one of the problems they have with it are stolen Credit cards used to buy plex.
the reality is that all that actualy happend was the hacking efforts steped up because the grey market had compitition and needed to sell more Isk per transaction to "compete" I think I saw an estimate that for every WOW accuont thats actualy hacked and striped, they have the login data on 20-30 more, partly because they need to be able to get gold to match a customer on a specific server and Blizzard has hundred of them.
Aug 9th 2011 8:42PM and if thats the case, MoP may very well be a completly new game line for WoW, It may be Warcraft IV(but granted it would be the most freaking odd name for a Warcraft strategy game) a new cross platform offline RPG game or who knows what its going to be right now (apart from the nuty guys at Bliz who are working on it because frankly you can draw almost any inference you want to from the madiory public fileins B/A puts out)
