Jun 22nd 2009 12:59PM DISCLAIMER: THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION
While im glad you all are comfortable and in general had a good time I find it a bit disheartening that people call it discrimination when others dont agree with your point of view. While I will agree that there are people in America that avidly oppose any and all forms of the LGBT community the average American doesn't care.
As far as "GAY PRIDE" goes, why is there a requirement for a day like this? IMHO the "discrimination" comes events such as this, you take your sexuality something that is not considered normal (by society standards) even though this day and age it is accepted and shove it down peoples throats. The fact is, the majority of america doesnt care what you do in your bedroom or home. We only become offended when you throw it into our face and wear it like a badge of honor, when really its just a different lifestyle. Calling yourselves "discriminated against" is just sad. No one needs or as far as I know, is allowed to ask your sexual orientation, so until you make it public no one is the wiser.
Discrimination is a word people really should use more religiously. It gets thrown around the minute someone wants attention. Now this is just my opinion feel free to flame me ect, I'm a straight avg white guy, and I even played with a few people on PM when they were just known as "Taint" good guys, not my personal lifestyle choice but hey doesnt change the quality of their character.
Jun 11th 2009 8:20AM Just about every classes lore is fleshed out, though somewhat abstract:
Rogues: Garona (sp), SI:7, Ravenholt, Van Cleef
Warlocks: Burning Legion, Shadow Council
Shaman: Pretty much covered in TBC, directly related to a narru and healing the land in general.
Hunters: Rexxar, Sylvanas, (all the ranger lords in general). Zuljin, Troll kingdoms
Priests: Aside from the catherdral in stormwind, the priest story is prob the one lacking lore, there are some famous ones from the scarlet crudsade/onslaught. But nothing really sticks out ot me.
Jun 8th 2009 8:18AM I like em, I play both a horde and alliance druid. That being said I think the tauren got the better models overall, though that could be due to the fact that I hate that my alliance druid somehow became my main. I think they need to provide another "masculine" model color scheme ect for the NE's but overall I think its ok and am really grateful for the changes.
Jun 2nd 2009 1:37PM Amazing...
At first I was a bit bleh, but the more I looked at em and compared them to the surroundings, ie the barrens savanah type look it made alot more sense that they resemble lions. The only potential downfall I see with this is the NE forms. If they go with the nightsaberish forest type cat, hopefully they put alot of detail into those as well.
Could they do better? Probably, but ill take what they give and be happy, anything is better then staring at 5 year old forms.
Jun 1st 2009 1:56PM Def my guild, cliques are our problem, the big bad part though is that there are a large portion of officers that are "clique". Really leads to a "dead" feeling in the game.
May 28th 2009 1:14PM GC really needs to take his degree in Marine Biology and go play with fish and stay the hell out of anything involving public relations. The amount of times the assclown has lied (directly or indirectly) to the populace has made him public enemy number one.
Unfortunelty any job dealing with the public is difficult, but he rarely even attempts to be helpful instead going on the defensive immediately and posting snark, snippy comments.
May 21st 2009 11:36AM Im stuck on the alliance side, switched from horde for a change of pace and found a good alliance guild, now my toon is fully equiped so its hard to just dump it. If they allowed faction changes id pay and be back to the horde tomorrow, even today the horde for the most part is better organized and "older" whether you view that as more mature or not is subject to your own experiences. Plus Wrynn just seems a bit off, sure he's a figure head the alliance needed but they still seem fractured and broken lot compared to the horde.
May 21st 2009 8:11AM I think the biggest reason WG is so popular is because of the vast scale of the battle and the fact that its people from your own server. Im an oldschool pvp'r and I hated the day BG's went cross realm. After that point there was just a huge influx of honor farmers and other issues that sucked any and all fun out of the game. I still remember the epic battles over SFGY and of course the ever amusing release of the troll at the bottom of the GY. Worg riders (played horde) ect. The BG's now miss their epic feel and are nothing more than honor grinds.
WG on the other hand has a reward linked to it, you get access to a pve dungeon that has some pretty decent loot drops, you know your enemy and you form grudges against certain players (the way pvp should be), not random xxx from xxx realm.
