WoW Moviewatch: How to Paladin IX {WoW}

Aug 20th 2010 5:13PM Are you sure you want to ask that question?

Breakfast Topic: Hey, how'd he do that? {WoW}

Aug 4th 2010 8:57AM My standard for parties and lazy hours in the IF Commons is Dartol's Rod Of Transformation + Sandals Of Summer + /dance + Feign Death. Dead mostly-naked bear-man on fire! It even makes a cheerful crackling sound.

WoW Moviewatch: Where the hell is Poke? {WoW}

Jul 27th 2010 3:36AM I loved this! Seeing the zones so refreshed and all the new areas charged me up far Cataclysm far more than I expected!

Breakfast Topic: Real ID or Real bad IDea? {WoW}

Jul 8th 2010 10:37AM Okay, this is pure whining and I know it, but:

I *hate* Facebook! I hate everything about it! I don't want it here. :( I don't even like my given name, and I don't want to be called by it here or anywhere else.

I have posted arguments of actual substance elsewhere, but at the moment I'm only thinking, "Crap, my favorite thing on the internet is being contaminated by my least favorite." D:

Blizzard's responses on the Real ID situation {WoW}

Jul 7th 2010 1:14AM So that's going to be the end of roleplaying forums.

I'm curious what they plan to do with very young players. Officially the game is rated T, but there must be many people younger than the age it is legal to reveal private information about them playing by game cards, etc.. If adults think it's dangerous, how about 13-year-olds or 15-year-olds being able to be sought out online by their real names?

The other thing that concerns me, which has been bandied about in the forum thread a lot already I'm sure, is the *fact* that some employers won't hire people who play WoW. Anybody even mildly famous (including those sports players and politicians who have been mentioned as playing WoW on this site) had better not pipe up on the forums unless they want to be dogpiled. And anybody with a feminine name had better be prepared to be hounded if they want to participate in the forums.

And even if you don't post on the forums, how long before there are battle.net profiles listing your characters under your name?

Breakfast Topic: Fear ... so exhilarating {WoW}

May 29th 2010 6:28PM This might not be exactly the same thing, but.

I am a hunter and a collector of combat pets -- actually, I have rolled seven or eight different hunters by now -- but the one pet I can never tame is a wasp. The icon for their special ability even triggers my phobia. Most uncool.

I have actually partially overcome a fear of heights by leaping off waterfalls in-game, but the deep water thing is still terrifying to me as well. There just... *anything* could be down there. And often is Seeing the fatigue bar alone is scary enough, if you think that it stands for your arms losing their strength as you swim over water deep and shadowed enough to crush you, and that it's too late: you're already too far to make it back...

Time Is Money: AMG Farmville! {WoW}

Apr 1st 2010 6:15PM Oh GOD. This is like my worst nightmare. ;__;

Breakfast topic: Your favourite patch 3.3.3 change? {WoW}

Mar 24th 2010 10:29AM I'm liking the changes to questgiver dialogues, the way it shows which are dailies and which are regular quests now if they offer more than one, and the way quest turn-ins are greyed out in the same window until the quest is actually complete. Just kind of streamlines things that little bit; it wouldn't have even occurred to me to ask for those changes, but I'm happy about them!

Breakfast Topic: If you could have any ability in WoW {WoW}

Mar 22nd 2010 6:16PM It is downright stupid how often I go to use Eagle Eye in my everyday life. So, that.

Breakfast Topic: Fancy meeting you here {WoW}

Feb 18th 2010 11:18PM I once got a free burrito when I wore my Wrath t-shirt into Chipotle; the guys behind the counter were a shaman and a shadow priest. XD
