May 19th 2011 12:47PM Don't kid yourself, Blizzard doesn't *want* to implement the ability to display different items then you have equipped. Blizzard pays artists to design armor and weapons, and the only way to ensure they get their investments' worth out of those is to ensure that the visuals are always used.
And keep in mind that "showing off druid armor" was one of the many reasons why Tree of Life form was removed as a persistent druid form, further indicating that Blizzard prefers the artwork to be seen, not hidden.
May 9th 2011 11:28AM Druids would pummel for 31 seconds, actually.
25 base for the spell, +6 seconds for two ranks in Natural Shapeshifter.
And they would do so while yelling "Tree smash!"
May 3rd 2011 8:23AM Such could be caused by an addon, did you try disabling your addons? I myself am down to the essentials - Clique, Grid, and DBM only - while I'm trying to identify the addon causing similar problems for myself.
May 2nd 2011 10:01AM Defensive magic dispelling is removing magic debuffs applied to members of your party/raid. Mages have Offensive dispels - removing magic buffs applied to enemy targets - and curse dispels.
Only the four healing classes have Defensive magic dispels, and the 4.1 change put priests in line with the other 3 healing classes which had to talent their cleansing spells for this effect.
Apr 30th 2011 12:48PM New encounters have a habit of doing this; the combination of players learning the mechanics of a fight and, in some cases, not geared enough for the fight puts further strain on the healer to keep everyone alive.
Once players start getting accustomed to the fight mechanics and know how to avoid taking damage that would kill them (usually a bad healer will help teach this!), the healing requirements will diminish.

I don't believe they removed the ability to get the blue drake via Oculus. However, after a character reaches level 81 they can no longer queue for Northrend dungeons, and thus can no longer get Heroic Oculus as a Northrend Heroic Random. So they restored the original means of getting this mount (10-man Maly) so those that did not get the mount could still acquire it, but I did not hear about them disabling the ability from random heroic Oculus for those that can still run Northrend heroics.
Mar 31st 2011 10:29AM I don't necessarily worry about haste softcaps to achieve extra shots - especially as Marksman, it's usually 2 Steady Shots to maintain the haste buff, followed by a number of Chimera and Arcane shots (or Aimed Shot! procs), and then back to 2 Steady Shots.
However, there is a secondary benefit to more haste besides the increase in dps. Almost all encounters require at least sporadic movement - not usually enough to warrant the dps drop from being in Aspect of the Fox the entire fight, but enough that, while pewing on the boss, you find yourself suddenly having to move out of the fire. Haste improves the likelihood of a cast-time shot going off in between required movement.
Mar 25th 2011 12:33PM As a priest, I have more healing buttons that I need to manage then I have viable keyboard+mouse combinations to program into Grid+Clique - counting Dispel Magic and Cure Disease, I've 22 buttons to manage between Clique, mouse-based keybinds, and clicked cooldowns for healing and mana management.
So I use Decursive for cleansing magic and diseases - two separate buttons for priests, while Druids, Paladins, and Shamans all have one cleanse button. I have the microframes placed right above Grid, where it's a quick mouse movement to place over them and allows me to left (magic) or right click (disease) the microframe to dispel/cleanse. I've no idea how I'd manage to handle cleansing without Decursive.
Mar 23rd 2011 1:18PM Many of my guild never caught the reference. Especially when, after seeing the alert for someone earning that achievement, I comment "What, you didn't like the half-pony half-monkey monster?"
Mar 14th 2011 9:14PM 30% higher? So we're talking 100k crits during Halfus Phase 2.
I can live with that.
