Patch 3.2: Raid lockouts extendable {WoW}

Jun 29th 2009 11:41PM I'm curious if some raider with ill intent could keep a pug locked out for awhile?

Are there any precautions against this?

The mystery of the missing Ulduar models {WoW}

Jun 20th 2009 4:32PM Ever wonder why when you load a web page, it loads faster the second time?
Ever wonder why you lag so bad in crowded areas?
When you have to load 20 different swords it takes longer than loading 20 swords with the same model. They probably did it for lag reasons as well as with their goal of everyones armor looking more 'polished' and less clownish.

Changes coming for Block in Patch 3.2 {WoW}

Jun 18th 2009 3:14PM This sounds great for boss tanking, but I'm a little leary about how this is going to effect paladin threat, as it is now, they're the front of the pack when it comes to both single target and aoe threat already. But I know warrior could probably use the little boost it will provide.

This doesn't seem like the super fix that is needed for the stat, and I have a feeling I'm going to hear a lot of the word "Band-aid" being thrown around, but its a good start.

The Queue: Buzz buzz {WoW}

Jun 11th 2009 6:17PM Most vanilla rares are just hanging around, unless they're unique and tamable like Humar the Pride Lord when hunters sometimes camp to tame or they're in the starer zone where lowbies and rerolls will quickly find and kill them.

I was on my palladin today and killed a rare crab in Decolace named Crusty. I don't know any rules to their respawns but since they're so out of the way and usually only drop greens so not many people search them out and camp them.

Leveling in oldworld is so...empty now, I can go for a dull day without seeing anyone around, which I guess isn't all bad, I haven't really gotten ganked in awhile.

WoW, Casually: Rating the classes for casuals {WoW}

Jun 4th 2009 8:56AM Yea I'm leveling my pally now because I need something that can easily and quickly farm my mats for my other alts, and crusader aura is perfect for that. I'm still only in the early 30's though so my rotation consists of "Walk up to the mob. Right click. Alt tab." Heirlooms are OP on pallies btw, I 4 shot things my level, and I was 1-2shoting them up until around 20.

WTB more buttons to push, ah well, pally healing looks interesting anyways, I think I'm gonna do that.

The best zone of Wrath {WoW}

Jun 4th 2009 8:43AM I loved the scenery of Grizzly hills as soon as I layed eyes on it at level 72 and I promised myself I would quest there, and loved it, it has good lore, though isn't saturated in it like some of the other zones, and unlike sholzar which I also liked, it is never very crowded, you get a nice sense of actually being out in the woods on your character.

Should rage only come from damage dealt? {WoW}

Jun 3rd 2009 11:28AM Thats all fine and dandy for warriors to use bloodrage and charge in, but druid charge costs rage, and there arnt always 3 or 4 handy little critters running around to beat on. What if your chain pulling and bloodrage is on cooldown then? Oops, it would be annoying to have to blow the same cooldowns before every pull, and even more annoying to wait for them before every pull.

This would probably end up being a good change in my opinion, but its not going to be as easy as it sounds, like i said they would have to change heroic strike and maul, and work in a way to give bears and warriors some snap threat, lest it comes back to the days of wait for 2 sunders/lacerates deal.

Should rage only come from damage dealt? {WoW}

Jun 3rd 2009 9:12AM I wouldn't really like this as a druid tank, at least not yet, not until they fix maul/heroic strike.

As it is I have maul macroed to all my attacks in bearform and heroic strike keybound to my mousewheel on my warrior, and honestly, I don't really want to go back to the days where I had to watch my rage bar to see if I should start using either one of those attacks, but I also hate now that I never even think about them, its just automatic.

With current mechanics it would destroy druid and warrior just-started-combat snap agro, because we wouldn't have any rage to start with our threat attacks, we would just have to auto attack for a little while.

Breakfast Topic: What do you think of the new bear druid skins? {WoW}

Jun 2nd 2009 8:42AM I didn't really like the forms at first, and that I'm going to have to change my skintone to get the form I want (I wont) kind of annoys me, but I cant wait to see what they do with cats. Nothing can be worse than what Tauren already have for cats, even if I'd rather have another tone.
