Jun 5th 2010 11:14PM Well, that's not all surprising if you're a shaman. Our representative in Ironforge at least gets a house in the main circle (dwarves are surprisingly receptive to shamanism....hm...), and Darnassus is in pretty direct contact with Azuremyst, but in Stormwind the guards look at you funny and make our trainer sit outside the gates. On an island.

They're not big on the draenei in Stormwind, no sir.

That's a cat. It's not a wolf. It's a cat. Cat's and dogs are pretty different.

But honestly, wow.com is probably correct about the use of the models. One of the Echo Isles quests involves being "imbued with the Spirit of the Tiger". That's probably what we're seeing in those models. (I know Panther doesn't equal Tiger. Take it up with Blizz)

Mar 3rd 2010 12:18PM They have said several times now that they want gaining a level to feel like more of an accomplishment. So those five levels are going to equal ten levels of work.

Dec 1st 2009 11:43PM It's sad to say, but an irl friend/husband/brother/son does not necessarily equal "safe". Plenty of my feminist friends of mine fight uphill battles trying to teaching their sons not to be sexist. Plenty of my feminist friends are shocked when their husbands express surprise that they find something demeaning. They're not necessarily causing drama, but they may not be fostering a comfortable space by being there.

And this is leisure time for the women in the guild. They don't want to fight the uphill battle of explaining why they find something objectionable. They don't want to get blindsided by something triggering. They don't want to have to waste energy figuring out if someone is generally on their side or baiting them for a laugh.

Is it sad that the only way to do that is make a space completely female-only? Yeah. Sexism hurts everyone.

Class specific buffs become craftable items {WoW}

Aug 27th 2009 3:15PM I'm pretty sure someone asked about a non-shaman Heroism buff, and the reply was, "Sorry, you want BL/Heroism, it's not too hard to just bring a Shaman". So that, at least, is staying class specific. I hope. Seeing as most of our totems already get overwritten by other classes, I'd really like that to stay shaman-specific

May 27th 2009 8:38PM I am sorry that it was a let down. =( As I said, I'm not a raider, so I haven't set foot in Ulduar, and I hope to see Mim soon (I have heard many a tale. He's becoming legendary). I LOVE puzzle fights. Tank and spank is easier for me, but still. You'd hope that a boss so difficult to get to would be a challenge.
