Mar 24th 2012 10:56AM I have 2 naming systems, one is based off Old Norse and then references the race/class
Norse will not work for the Monk, so i went chinese + class
FengFist is the name I have in reserve (wind fist, or Phoenix fist)
Dec 8th 2011 11:18AM My main moves from game to game, always a human paladin, always the same name.
all of my alts' names reflect the class. priest = heals, life, etc.
But my main's name is norse for "His(God) Sacred Spear" and has a reference to my own RL name
Nov 16th 2011 11:33AM Archaeology was one of the things i was most excited about in CATA, I
love the lore of Wow and thought "Hey! they are finally going to make
all the tons and tons of ruins useful!" My excited reached fevered
pitch when they released the early information about the Path of
Titans. It is what I planned to do in the majority of my off time for
the entire expansion.
My excitement level was met and surpassed only by the crushing
disapointment that is our current Archaeology system. While leveling
Archaeology I way of finding artifacts was only "temporary"
and that we would venture into old world dungeons and have to solve
clues and so on. Lastly I hoped the extra grayed out icon on the culture page would reavel itself to be some awesome new part of profession. But alas no...
It was a sad day when I realized farming Steamwheel Cartel Rep was
more fun than Archaeology...
Oct 11th 2011 5:26PM It'll be a placeholder for gold to USD conversion.
10 USD = pet = x Gold
10 USD = X Gold
People will buy the pets a post them in AH for the amount of gold that 10 dollars equals. We have no idea legal example of the currency exchange but I believe the black market is $9.99=10,000. so the pet would be 10k gold.
So blizzard is letting people buy gold without adding to hyper-inflation.
Oct 4th 2011 12:49PM I liked them all, DK is my favorite although druid is a close second
Aug 17th 2011 12:48PM FINALLY FINALLY I can tank my pally in tier 1!!!! Banana Shoulders FTW
Aug 9th 2011 11:52AM As a tank I try and be overly hospitable at the start of the run, it really seems to calm down any anxiety felt by the group. DPS does pull on occation but unless they are pulling badly I just roll with it. I do occationally have the helaer pull and that makes me nervous.
But most common problem I have is dealing with curt healers, what seems like 10-15% of PUG healers seem to have a bug up their butt and snap at DPS if their damage isn't high enough, esspecially in troll runs.
May 12th 2011 11:24AM Agreed, Wrathgate is was most
Apr 12th 2011 12:28PM During Wrath right as Tier 9 and the Argent Tournament came out I took a break for 9 months. Before that break I tanked anything and everything I could sign up for. I tanked all the way through BC and if I could have tanked in vanilla I would have. I loved tanking heroics in Wrath and I was one of the two raid tanks for my guild. But after that break I signed up for a heroic (I was in a couple tier 9 pieces but most people were in full tier 10) I queued for a heroic and I was slammed with GOGOGOGOGOGOGO and couldn't hold aggro for anything. I was chastised for my lack of skill and was kicked. I was so surprised and so rudely dismissed I lost my nerve.
I camped right on the spot and started leveling my priest. After level from 60 to 71 a guild mate asked me to tank and I refused, it wasn't until an all guild group was running randoms and asked me to tank that I said yes. I begged forgiveness before even starting the run and asked for patience. The guild mates were happy to have me tank and helped me get my nerve back.
Since then I started tanking again, although it took me alittle while before I'd queue. Now in Cata I tank anything and everything, although Cata heroic runs are less forgiving than wrath runs, not just the mechanics but the people in them. I have tanked for randoms and been met with borderline hostility from even the get go several times. It doesn't surprise me on bit Wow needs to bribe tanks to queue.
Mar 11th 2011 3:44PM OMG a Prot Pally article! Quick call somebody!
Kinda wish it was about the upcoming patch but a boy can dream.
