Jan 5th 2011 6:16PM I still don't get why the engineering crafted guns\bows have such ridiculous mat requirements. The orb I can live with. The 2 truegold and 12 hardened elementium (OP Chicken) are ridiculous. In no realm will it ever be worth it to craft those items. The BS crafted 346 items are even worse.
The lack of a strength gun is a glaring omission, however a bigger suprise is why they didn't eliminate the gun altogether. Why not just make warriors use relics? When was the last time a Fury\Arms warrior actually used his "shoot" button? For that matter when was the last time a clothie used their wand? Remove from game, they aren't necessary. I can already hear War tanks screaming, but you do have heroic throw for ranged pulls.
Jan 4th 2011 3:17PM IT would be nice if there were other honor outlets other than BG's. Waiting 20 minutes for a BG queue, then a 30 minute BG (not AV, obviously) to get 100 honor (assuming you win) means it's going to take you days just to get a single piece of gear. A mild suggestion is (like rated BG) to award honor when you're past the conquest cap for the week. Make it so Bliz. Kthx.

Aug 11th 2009 5:56PM Actually Spell power mail with MP5 (which I hear Pallies go for nowadays, post 3.2) is only used by 1 class and 1 spec: Resto Sham. Ele doesn't need MP5. Forcing them to share gear is a win-win. 90% of the time MP5 Mail gear gets DE'd. There aren't that many resto Sham's but there's a zillion holy Pallies (Zillion pallies in general). This makes the existing gear more useful.
On another note whoever QQ'd about holy dps while leveling... have you tried any other healing class? You're kidding right? What DPS does a resto druid have? A resto sham? Holy priest? You don't level holy\resto. End of story. Dual spec: use it, and 1234-win your ret pally to 80 like everyone else with holy as your off spec. IF Holy could DPS it would be so horribly OP in PVP, Bliz would never allow it. This goes along with all the holydins QQing about insta exorcism being nerfed. Don't worry, your class is still OP (LoH, Bubble).
Jul 29th 2009 1:55PM Bump. Can you imagine Reincarnation on 10 minute timers tho? You'd never have to run back again in a raid. but...
Question: If there were a 2 point talent to get 10 minute reincarnation would you take it?
Answer: Raid spec? I still wouldn't. Would I get it while leveling? HELL YES. Would this make it ridiculously OP in BGs? HELL YES. Make it so Bliz!
Jul 17th 2009 1:16PM While I'm unsure about adding more unique professions, I'm disappointed that Bliz has largely veered away from profession specialties. I liked the idea of Weaponmaster Blacksmith (let's disregard that everything is BoP for right now) and the various tailoring, engineering and leatherworking specialties. I was very disappointed to discover that weaponmaster\goblin engineering, etc.. didn't progress into wrath material. This would have made for a lot more diversity in professions and in essence multiplies the number of professions available. Why not bring this back? Make a choice early in the game which specialty you want and then level with it through the expansions. More choices in professions is a good thing. And there's no need to come up with some exotic nonsense or out of place professions to fill a new need - just make the ones we have more interesting.
Jun 30th 2009 3:57PM I don't understand how Mind Control or Spell Steal qualify as exploits, ever. They are spells included with the class. NOT using them makes you less skilled of a player. If you don't want those spells to be used, make the mobs immune. How is this the player's fault? Let's just say for example that a certain encounter is "impossible." But using MC\SS makes it possible. Who's to say that wasn't blizz intention? There's at least one encounter I can think of that people don't try without priests - Think naxx25. Maybe they should include in the tooltip for the spell: "Not to be used in Raid instances," or "using in Raids is a bannable offense." Ridiculous.
May 29th 2009 3:41PM I don't equate losing maybe 5% of your overall health as making Druids equal to anyone with regards to health pool. Pre 3.1 Druids typically had somewhere near 40k health, with 70% damage reduction due to armor. So now you have 37k health and 65% DR? Oh woe is me. That's still 5k more health than anyone else and comparable armor to DK but still 5% more than warrior or pally. And the health scales with raid buffs. I'd say this just makes Druid no longer OP with regards to tanking. And they do the best DPS of all tank classes. While I'd be upset if my tank were Druid at the nerfs, knowing all of this, I'd still ask for druids as a MT more than any other class. Pre 3.1 Druids were rolling around Naxx with 50k health and scoffing at hateful strikes from Patchwerk. Now they're rolling with 45k+ health and scoffing at Mimiron because Warrior and Pally don't even have a shot.
May 28th 2009 3:46PM Buffing warrior tank (or any spec) dps shouldn't be an issue here. We'll stick to tanking because that's what this thread is about, but Warrior DPS in general just plain stinks. My Prot warrior in non-Ulduar epics which are mostly best in slot or close to it does 1.3k DPS. Every other tank does 2k. Just by having me in the raid and assuming I'm the MT you lose 700 dps right out of the gate. If I'm OT let's not even talk about it, because without rage generation, the DPS falls off the table. And now as demonstrated in this article DK\Druid is preferred anyway due to high avoidance and damage reduction? What exactly does Prot war have going for it anyway? Mine is on the shelf now and has been for a while. I just don't see the point of bringing a liability to a raid. I can't even switch to DPS because that's so weak my just-turned 80 DK with 3 crafted epics does higher DPS. Either everyone else is horribly OP or Warrior is horribly UP. Take your pick. Block value is just the tip of the iceberg.
