In defense of care packages and mandatory authenticators {WoW}
Jan 11th 2010 12:42PM I work in network security and I got hacked. Turned out a website that I had been visiting for many years ended up with an ad that downloaded a keylogger to any pc that visited the site.
How many people have to tell idiots like you that you don't have to open suspicious emails or visit shady sites to get hacked? You can have a password that would appear to be a random collection of letters, symbols, and numbers (like mine) but it won't make you any more secure if a keylogger gets in your system.
Bottom line.. if you argue against or refuse to use and authenticator you deserve to be hacked and I hope you do many times over.

One bit that always gets me is when Tauren NPCs say "How may I aid you?" For some reason it sounds like they are saying "How may I hate you?"

Sep 5th 2009 2:53PM Its from a quest chain on Azuremyst Isle. You get the buff so that you can run off the cliff and across the water to the next part of the chain.
Do tanks get the most out of PuGs? {WoW}
Jul 26th 2009 4:29PM I have always hated tanking Pugs. When the healer and DPS are good it can be a fun run with little trouble. On the other had if you have a terrible healer and/or DPS that doesn't watch threat so they can show off their "OMG LEET DPS!!!!" it makes for a miserable time to be a tank.
I was tanking a run through UP and I pulled the next group. Next thing I know I am almost dead and was like a half second late on hitting LoH and went down. A fury warrior in the group said something like "Damn can you take any more damage". So I looked back and there was not a single heal on me the entire time the healer had gone AFK without saying anything to the group. Yet I was still taking the blame for going down.
Sometime later I was tanking a run through VH with a hunter and shammy that were trying to out-DPS each other. As you can imagine they were pulling aggro from me the whole time and whining to me about it. They were even hitting things before I could. I solved that problem by putting raid marks on them. If a mob was pulled off me and its target had a raid mark I let them die. The healer on this run was awesome and backed me up by refusing to heal them if they pulled aggro. Unsurprisingly being faced with mounting repair bills for dying put an end to their little DPS competition.
All in all I think DPS is the only ones that normally don't have big problems with Pugs. I was generally ok with them when running on my hunter. This is probably why trade and LFG is usually filled with stuff like.
LF Tank and Healer for heroics....

May 29th 2009 8:44PM No engineering again.... why doesn't Bliz just delete the entire profession if they aren't going to support it at all.
